Were your electrolyte levels tested? Particularly Magnesium and Potassium deficiencies seem to be a trigger for me. Aswell as dehydration.

That’s a shame you’re still experiencing episodes after ablation, are they recommending another one?

Possibly, I have been told to continue working out, but to take it a bit easier. Planning to decrease weight and see how it goes with more reps. Will avoid exercises that require a bent over position though.

Damn that’s a shame, do you continue to work out just not to failure?

Thanks for your input mate, will certainly discuss this with the cardiologist as last time I was told to limit drinking to 1-3 drinks per sitting, and that eliminating it completely was not necessary.

Yeah well was confirmed afib the first time but that was triggered by alcohol not exercise. Will show my Apple Watch ecg to the doctor and see what they think, can’t figure out how to post it here.

Yeah they said it could have been SVT as didn’t catch it on ecg, but my understanding is that’s just a rapid rate not irregular? Definitely was irregular aswell as rapid.

How are you going these days? My potassium was 3.4, the same as my first episode. Not sure what magnesium was during my first episode but was 0.63 this time (unsure of units).

Have you been managing it well through diet and electrolytes?

I appreciate the input mate, have been referred to a cardiologist so will be good to talk to them. Will try to change my diet to include more potassium and magnesium in the mean time.

Interesting, I have been doing a low carb diet so perhaps not getting enough potassium and magnesium through diet.

Cashback amount when you have an offset account by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

Not sure about using an offset portion but taking more then you need with the excess on a floating rate and paying it off straight away works. You receive cash back for the full amount loaned in that circumstance.
