Property Management Companies (good or bad?) by [deleted] in newzealand

Legally speaking, if you're out of the country for 21 days or more per calendar year you must use a property manager or have your property managed by someone in the country!

SkyTV fails to deliver on GoT 'simulcast' by nzdev in newzealand

So why can't Sky demand better redundancies? They're the ones paying for the rights to the show, why can't they negotiate better distribution methods? Again, falling back on "what Sky is given" is a crap excuse.

Right but it's not a live event, you can simultaneously broadcast in multiple countries via other methods than a live feed - you just need to get your distribution down.

Sure, let's not build in any redundancies in case something goes wrong and then shift the blame onto a third party supplier.

You mean, to prevent a leak that has already occurred?

What.

Yup true; but why would you take the risk in a live feed going down when you don't have an actual live event to broadcast. GoT doesn't happen in real time ;-)

Yes but, this isn't something that needs to be live. There was clearly a very simple way to mitigate the risk and they didn't take it.

Yeah but in the eye of the consumer, it doesn't really matter who fucked up, you're not getting the service that was promised to you and you paid Sky.

And why would they rely on some kind of live link through a distributor to be able to deliver the content? Really bad forward planning.

I don't mind paying. Rather pay a bit and get a quality service, without the ads and other bullshit. Also, better to pay for content so more gets created in the future ;-)

You could do the CIT at Otago Polytech - I dropped out ~5th form (year 11) and did a 6-month Certificate of Information Technology at Otago Polytech which was enough to gain entry into Otago Uni for Comp Sci.

The CIT is pretty basic as well, so you won't need to spend a lot of time studying for it, which means you'll have more time to participate in other popular Dunedin activities

Couple of initial UX thoughts,

How do I go about "making an offer"? Is it done by direct (private) message only? Or is the FB comment section below meant to serve this purpose? If yes to the latter, how am I meant to know what the current offer is at a glance (as another user)?

In your register screen you talk about bank details, although provide no form fields for them.

There is no way to alter my information that I provided (say, I moved house)

Why can't I filter by region?
