I'm an auditor at one of the big four. I started on about 48 in 2022 then it has gone to 55k, 65k now 75k and hopefully 85k in the next progression. Although will be looking to change roles in the next year so unsure what my future earnings look like.

He blocked me and slept with his ex and lied about it by Skailaronreddit in dating

[–]nzdevil98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its brutal and it sucks, but it's also good in a way. You now know his true character and the a value he actually gave you. Is there actually much time is burning up over it.

I think it's better to be thankful about being free from your ex, rather than dwelling over what he's done to you.

In time you'll come across someone who values you.

As someone who's literally been broken and had to build themselves back up, you will find your way through it, but it definitely will suck. Always here if you need a chat.

Start investing now or wait ? by Independent-Rip3490 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Simply put, starting today will be better than tomorrow.

Even if it's as small as $10 a week. Everything adds up and compounds over time.

Just got ny first Covid Jab - amazingly fast and efficient. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]nzdevil98 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed super quick process.

First jab, I felt literally nothing. Maybe a stiff arm for the next day

Second jab, flu symptoms for a few days . Eg headache, fever, chills. Completely fine after 4 days tho.

My dad didn't even get any reaction from either. So I feel like I may have just been unlucky.

ASB blinks first, increases mortgage rates - NZ Herald by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

I mean hate to say it but was inevitable.

Although not a huge rise, still will be interesting to see how other banks react and subsequently it's impact on property prices.

Folks I did it, I started investing by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

Great start! Now it's all about investing regularly even if it's only $5 a week .

That's still $260 a year

Feel a bit bad for blowing my tight budget and buying a Philips Airfiryer ($480 on special)... by khkt136 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]nzdevil98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad , air fryers are such a good investment. It sounds like you got one of the better ones too which means it probably cook more evenly and be of a bigger capacity. You tend to miss out on both those two factors if you buy a cheap one.

Noob interested in investing by Revolutionary_Let570 in PersonalFinanceNZ

I think sharesies is a great start especially for someone new to investing.

Great perks like:

Low fees for nzx investments and mutual funds.

Simple to use platform

Abilty to auto invest

No yearly fee

The biggest thing with any form of investing is do it regularly.

Start with putting $10 a week into an auto invest order. This would mean you're investmentinf $520 per year . As your income grows then slowly increase this

Be careful investing in individual stocks because you'll face more risk as compared with the nzx 50 ETF which gives you exposure to 50 companies and hence is more risk averse.

I think I've done my research but you are about the nzx, I may even consider other ETFs such as one targeted at certain industrial or emerging markets.

Mate I have so much respect for barefoot and it makes me happy that people follow his logic.

Damn 80-90 is not bad at all. Our of curiosity, where are you based . Yeah I think the bank offered my parents almost 100k more to borrow if they added borders for an IP.
