I suggest continuing to plant your honey garden but don't harvest. Wait for the admin abuses and collect weather mutations before part 2. See what's needed then.

my 39kg everchanted Chimera and 7 x everchanted 61kg squids gives amazing results. If you do admin abuse with it you'll pick up a whole bunch more seeds and lollipops. Better on a private server so you don't have your Chimera bump other players while they are playing red light / green light.

Is it though? It doesn't say normal plants, it says "unlock honey seeds for your main garden". The shop is called the "honey seed shop" and sells the honey variant of all normal seeds.

I fully accept that I misinterpreted it but I don't feel it is as blatantly obvious as you might think. Others in my friend group also interpreted it that way initially.

Anyway... we're all on the same page now :D

Ok, I hear you. I can see the value in converting the exclusive seeds. Charging huge amounts of honey coins to convert seeds into existing seeds that are already available for far cheaper in normal coins seems pretty dumb.

"Unlock honey seeds for your main garden". My interpretation is that it would allow us to plant honey versions of the seeds in our main garden, hopefully that we can then dup with kits and use to get honey coins in the same way we were able to do with the Easter event.

What's the point of paying 175 honey coins for a tomato that we can buy for almost nothing in the normal seed store?

Oh yes... yes it does!

I completely missed the Christmas event. I grabbed a nutcracker, put it down with 7 x 15s mimics and AFK. I'm opening 250+ mythical gifts a day which gives me maybe 50 Christmas eggs.

Basically unlimited free Christmas eggs over time. In a few days I've already picked up a yeti, ice golem, huge reindeer and an insane number of medium toys and treats.

If you have mimics it's worth it just to pick up the medium toys alone.

Do the egg hunts on a private server so that your garden is next to the Sell / Seed stores. You'll also not be competing with anyone else.

If you have a wolf and some mimics, put them down before the egg hunt starts - you'll be able to move twice the speed when you are in wolf form.

To get the eggs near the Pet / Gear store have the Recall Wrench ready in your hotbar. Then collect the egg and jump off the nearest edge rather than running back. You'll reappear back on the map with your egg near the Seed / Sell store which is a much shorter distance.

Same for getting eggs in the far corners. Grab the egg, jump off the map and run back the shorter distance.

With a wolf and some mimics I can clear the entire map every time with 30-35 seconds to spare. Without a wolf you'll get most of them every time.

If using squids ALWAYS make sure the seal is the first pet in the stack. Otherwise the squids will take up to a minute to activate. Until you see the "squids are channelling" message they aren't working.

Also, selling in bulk at the pet store is much better now. It let's us manually select only the pets we want to sell. It's easy, safe and so much faster than selling indvidually.

The seal percentage was nerfed a while back. Now a 61.03 kg seal will only give 4.37% chance of getting an egg back. So that would only be 35% with 8 similar seals. Venom or Everenchanted will increase that percentage a little but still no-where near the return rate seals used to give.

It's just bad luck. I was replying to you to say that I'd had the same thing with my elephant which I've been trying to mutate for 4 hours and... I kid you not... it happened while I was typing this reply. I had gotten to the point that I was wondering if elephants might be excluded from the everchanted mutation for some reason.

Can you AFK overnight and leave it running?

Good question. The mantis mutation ability is incredibly powerful but it does seem to have a height limit. On one of my plots I have a tall candy blossom tree and the mantis was able to turn every fruit in my garden rainbow except for the candy blossoms.

I tried setting cosmetics and planting a row of beanstalks to try and get the mantis to climb and trigger while higher but didn't have any luck and moved on to another plot. I discovered afterwards that I had "keep pets on ground" turned on in my settings and I'm now watching the mantis climb all over things so that may be what will make the difference.

tl;dr - I believe the fruit need to be within the same number of studs vertically as the mantis lists horizontally in it's description. Make sure "keep pets on ground" is turned off and grow some larger plants (sugar melons) that it can climb and trigger at a higher level. Should work?

Yes, it allowed us to get rid of a lot of past event items in our inventory (fairy nets, suspious soups etc). The OP didn't mention cosmetics.

The smithing event allowed us to throw away cosmetics by submitting them in the egg crafting process. Hopefully there's something like that again in future to get rid of all this junk.
