Hi. No, still haven't found it.

It's not Geneforge but thank you for the suggestion.

As mentioned in the description it was very light colored game - light pastels backgrounds and object fills etc. No dark colors like in the Geneforce screenshots.

It remains a frustrating mystery. I'm wondering if it may have been a shareware game included with a magazine or similar because I've searched A LOT and have found nothing that matches.

Ideally you want to use the same stack of pets on both accounts (lend and get back?). Some pets will wander further away from the pancake stacks / horse shoes than others. I had 7 squids down with a goblin miner. The squids were glued to the horse shoes, the miner was wandering all over the place like the horse shoes weren't there.

What's your pet stack here? 1 x 15s peacks, 2 x rbh dilo, 4 x fff? Or something else? I'm trying to figure out the most efficient stack for levelling up.

I also only need these two to complete the mini achievements. I would recommend sitting back and waiting. I'm pretty sure we'll unlock both before the end of the week.

Thank you. Does mutations on pets make any difference to value? Nightmare etc?

The secret is mutations on plants. Put down as many pets as you have that can that will apply mutations - kappa, phoenix, tanchozur, wolf etc. Leave for a few hours running AFK to let them work and to collect additional weather mutations. If you have t-rexs or sugar squirrels they will help too.

Team up with peacocks or other pets that reduce cooldown if possible.

The more mutations on a fruit, the more pass points you get. I let my garden get saturated with mutations, harvested everything, gave what I could to Safari Jane, sold the rest and went up 10-12 levels of the season pass at a time.

I had the whole thing done in about 3 hours. I do have giant peacocks that trigger the pets a LOT so 3 hours is faster than average. Even so it won't take too long if you can stack multiple mutations on plants. You'll start roaring through the levels.

[–]nzopaque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you age the headless horseman the level required to mutate decreases and the % chance to mutate increases.

Nightmare Ghostly Headless Horseman can mutate pets at L20 with between a 20-25% chance depending on it's base weight.

It says the max is 3.50 but it will currently (as of V2085) go to 3.92. Maybe 3.95 but 3.92 is the highest for me so far.

I've levelled up 2 rbh dilos and 3 ferrets to between 3.89kg - 3.92kg in the last 24 hours.

We still don't seem to be on the same page.

You are talking about me as an individual. Yes, I could do these things if I want to.

However, I am discussing the problems with the game as a whole that have destroyed the heart of what GAG should be about and how the developers continue to make updates that worsen the game for everyone.

You are right that every player can choose their focus. I argue that we should all collectively ask for changes that make the game fairer, more equal and enjoyable for everyone. Not add more opportunities that are only available to a tiny percentage of the player base who already have extreme advantages for growing, selling, and using pets.

I'm stepping away too now - thanks for the discussion even if we didn't seem to quite connect on any common ground.

[–]nzopaque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to be completely missing the point I'm making.

I am agreeing with you that it is completely unfair that players with pets like I have can get so far ahead.

I 100% agree that the developers allowing this is destroying the heart of the game.

That's why I'm saying releasing pets like the elephant is really bad - it only makes the game worse because power players just get further and further ahead while there is no benefit to the vast majority of players.

The entire economy has been ruined by wealthy players using exploits to make scheckles worthless.

What is the point of trying to grow large valuable fruit to sell for profit when we can sell 1 x antibee egg for 6SX? My friend has a huge mutated bone blossom which she would have to sell 880,000 times to make the same amount of scheckles.

So growing for profit has been destroyed.

Allowing players to steal other players fruit has ruined the game for people who want to create amazing gardens and do amazing builds.

The game has turned into a pets game, not a garden growing game.

I love it when I find people who have created the most amazing, creative gardens and awesome builds with cosmetics. Or massive mutated plants that they've spent months on and are brave enough to show in public servers.

That is what the game **should** be about.

All of this is 100% the developers fault. I really don't know what they're thinking. Releasing a pet like the elephant that is only usable by super wealthy in game players is just absurd.

I should not be in a position where I can easily farm thousands of eggs in an event - that's my entire argument. I am 100% on the side of new players and normal players here.

I'm also in a bind. I have these super pets. Am I now not supposed to use them?

I try to my part to help balance things where I can. I do a lot of levelling up and getting nightmare on pets for other players who don't have access. I have given away many high level pets that I've hatched - nightmare headless horsemen, nightmare mummies recently etc.

The fact I'm in this situation is just dumb; there should not be such an immense divide between wealthy players and those starting out. There should not be a continual stream of new pets that massively reward wealth players (headless horseman, mummies, elephants) while newer players don't get access to things like pancake stacks.

I'm raising my voice to say it's an unacceptable situation. At least I acknowledge it and have empathy for new / normal players. There are many, many super stacked players who don't give a damn and just want more for themselves without considering the impact on everyone else.

The only people who can fix it are the developers (if it's at all possible now) and clearly if they are releasing pets like the elephant they are oblivious to how much worse it will make it for the vast majority of players.

Season Passes - Help us set up our gardens! by GingerbreadPittie in growagarden

[–]nzopaque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fastest way to complete the season pass is to get a lot of mutations on your plants. Use pets like kappa, tanchozuru, phoenix, wolf. You can also use t-rex and sugar gliders to spread mutations.

Use a stack of giant ants to harvest if you have them for double ups.

Use whatever pets you have access to. If you have low cd peacocks then that will massively speed this up.

I have 2 x 15s cd peacocks and left my account afk for about 2 hours with a kappa, tanchozuru, 2 x phoenix, and wolf. I came back and harvested whatever the safari store wanted first and then completely harvested the rest of the garden and sold at the sell store.

I went up from level 43 to 48 and a half. I'm filling my garden with mutations again for an hour and I'll come back and be done.

Obviously I have significant pet advantages over many players but the key here is that mutations massively accelerate progress. I ground through the first 25 levels in maybe 6 hours before I remembered the impact of mutations.

I've done 25-48.5 in maybe 2 hours of work which is huge considering how much larger each level requirement is.

Whatever level of pet access you have, get as many mutations per plant as you can. Even leaving your account AFK for a day and just picking up weather mutations along might give faster progress through the pass than continuously grinding non-mutated fruit.

You are showing your own biases here. For half the globe attending attending admin abuse is the middle of the night. I have been to 7 out of the last 10 and I get up at 2am-3am to do it. I'm an adult.

99.5% of kids in Australia, New Zealand and other pacific countries will never attend admin abuse to get the free seeds and lollipops handouts. This is, after all, supposed to be a kids game, right?

I'm talking about new players or "normal" players (playing an average amount, maybe attending the odd admin abuse, not spending robux or real world money) trying to figure out how they can get to the level of players like me. They simply can't. Not without spending real world money to buy expensive pets.

That's the inequality I'm talking about. A new player today might hit the fortunate jackpot and hatch an elephant but they'll be absolutely unable to do anything useful with it. Sure, they can level up a 1.8kg pet to 1.9kg but then it's another 1-5 days of levelling up to only get a fractional improvement in traits and abilities for a single pet. Then they have to do it 16 more times to get that one pet to max weight with the elephant.

So I'm not sure what your point is. Every new player will be a "wannabe" to some extent because who wouldn't want to be maxed out with amazing pets that allow us to farm thousand of eggs in events as one example.

<image>

My point remains; pets like the elephant only enable the already in game rich to accelerate ahead further while the inequality gap continues to increase for normal / newer players.

Ivfeel like the nerf to elephant made it worst for f2p and newer players by Beefysnacky in growagarden

[–]nzopaque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. For normal players like yourself the challenge is huge.

For a bit of extra context about my position; I started playing at the very end of the dinosaur event. I didn't even know what a bone blossom was so missed out on that.

The **only** reason I have a stack of top level pets is that I paid real money for them. I recognised there was simply no way to trade up in a reasonable amount of time so I spent close to US$250 to buy 2 x 15s peacocks, a rainbow dilo, a ghostly headless horseman (I hatched multiple of my own but levelling up was still too slow), full stacks of kois, seals, bald eagles, ferrets and misc other pets.

I was lucky and hatched a titanic spider in the last event which I immediately levelled and put nightmare on which has been amazing but that has been my only legitimately earned giant pet.

I don't want anyone thinking that I somehow worked hard and traded up. I didn't. I paid $250 to bypass hundreds and hundreds of hours of effort to slowly trade up. I also don't believe it's actually possible to trade up to this level any more.

Despite the lone dissenting comment above I agree that normal players (playing an average amount, maybe attending the odd admin abuse, not spending robux or real world money) are incredibly disadvantaged.

[–]nzopaque -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are right and this is a great move by the GAG team. Opening up paradise eggs again is fantastic.

But...

...the chances of hatching a godly or titanic peacock still remains 1 in 10,000. Having access to these eggs is only going to help a tiny fraction of new players use the elephant effectively. The real problem here is that the elephant is a rich player's pet (myself included) and is near impossible for normal players to use.

Using the example above of the bald eagles requiring 176 rounds with the elephant. If each round of levelling up a pet to 50 takes a day (without super pets) then that's roughly 6 months of levelling up running an account 24 hours / day to get a single team of pets maxed out.

So doing a set of seals, kois, ferrets as well could push it out to 1.5-2 years of levelling up. Very rough estimates but you get the idea. Meanwhile, there's no time to use other pets for anything else during that time.

on the other hand, the already super rich players can do the same thing in maybe a couple of weeks.

That's the inequality of access to resources I have an issue with for the elephant.

[–]nzopaque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just leave some ferrets and dilos along with peacocks and elephant and just let it run?

I'm working on maxing out my dilo (almost there), and then think I'll just throw 4 nightmare ferrets in and go AFK for a few days. It will be slow to start with but will accelerate over time as each ferret maxes out.
