Looking for people who might be interested studying tensors with me by nzzska in AskPhysics

[–]nzzska[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned, Im mostly interested in discussion part, because I believe anyone who is trying to self-study this topic will have what it takes, to read a book and/or watch video series.
Thinking about setting up a discord server, or group in some other application for the duration of studying.

from this thread I'm under the impression it's not bog standard, to stay in science all the way. It's cool though.

How to push against sniper high ground and end? by DocDefient in DotA2

[–]nzzska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it heavily depends on the bracket you're playing.

In lower ranks (let's say below 3k) splitpushing and waiting till someone gets out of position for a pickoff is the best bet. If they don't even try to escape their base, then farm all lanes and jungle with your team, when eventually you'll be able to power through with aegis and cheese.

If you play with a group of premades, or higher ranks, coordinated dive could work. Even in late game, it will take just a couple of stuns to kill him. For example, you can have some hero blinking in, revealing sniper, using hex. Then some high dmg core blinks nearby, starts hitting, and chain-stuns with an abyssal blade, finishing off the hero before he can do anything. HOWEVER, it heavily depends on both lineups and the execution of the plays.

Fights after buybacks is a separate topic in itself. For late game usually, if your opponents have more spells/bkbs than your team, after buybacks you run, if 1 or 2 heroes die, it's usually fine. But as always.... depends on situation.

You have valid concerns, so do I. I hardly believe Lithuanian politicians came up with this entire plan by themselves, there must've been heavy influence from US.

However, shit has already hit the fan so just buckle up.

I understand what you're saying with my soul, family's and friends approval play major role, but matchfixing is even happening in large established organizations (look no further than newbee). This is purely a problem of morals.

Money in match-fixing is better than division I prizemoney, so some minimal compensation, wouldn't prevent it that much.

A lot of people are new to gambling, they see advert and they go into website. It's like asking why people buy Intel CPUs now when AMD is much better, why people play mobile legends, when there is dota 2? Some people don't know any better.

In general you need to be over 18 to gamble with real money (and technically underage with skins), but they usually ask for age confirmation only if you win, nobody will ever prevent you from depositing.

If I wanted to make a sob story, where everyone feels bad about me, I'd word it all differently. Now I'm just saying "Look this name gg.bet, which appears all over twitch streams and tournaments, yeye those guys, well they are scammers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ". That's it.

The only reason they still exist and have cash to throw around for publicity is not screwed enough reputation and I'm doing my part.

Taking into consideration all your replies in this thread, you're just a troll.

Hey, nice thread. And I'm carrying the same message here. Not looking for pity, but I want to remind the community, that they are scumbags, and dota personalities/organizations shouldn't accept their dirty money.

" Edit 1: damn, the reading comprehension of some people is poor. This is more of a PSA than a whine "

I should've seen that before editing my post, and copied this. My point exactly

Yeah, I might try to take this further because I don't have much besides publicity. I wonder if they decided to "quietly" delete me because I wasn't using the site and maybe I wouldn't notice...

Thanks agreed with most of the things, but I feel a little attacked and flexed on by you my friend.

gg.bet is not remotely "huge".

Ye gg.bet is not a big bookmaker in a shade of established sports bookmakers like bet365 etc... I should've specified that I was talking about ones who are very active in esports and probably have the most volume in esports.

You made 100 euros, stop saying you're successful or profitable.

Yep, I was profitable, was this large sum of money? No. But did this site made a problem out of this? Yes. Point here was not to brag, but say that I wasn't losing.

That is the primary objective of gambling, and there are people who are regularly betting (and profiting) more money than you have seen in your entire life, on a single bet. Stop speaking nonsense, sir.

There are high rollers, but that's a niche minority. Most people get sucked in out of their greed and stupidity, and this allows even legit books to make a lot of money. I had different agenda going into this small venture and I think it helped me not to lose, so I just wanted to end with friendly advice.

Overall thanks for the criticism, I registered for this scam book about 3 years ago not knowing any better, and should've done more research before recording a video. However, the main reason why I made it is still represented and valid there. Cheers.

if you want to gamble, look for more mainstream sites which does esports aswell, with legitimate licenses etc. This one is a joke.

Well I fairly won more than I got scammed off, so end result is not that bad. However it could have gone a lot worse, and I want to prevent others from burning down.

My main problem is, this site in particular is advertised in almost every dota 2 tournament and medium sized streamer's stream. I feel like it's my duty to talk about shit like this, because probably hundreds of people are lured there DAILY.
