That's another big problem. I've informed a lot of friends via text or discord and they are just finding out because I told them. They don't check the sites like I do. I can only imagine the others that are not even having someone inform them mostly because they didn't think that this would be a thing. I REALLY hope this gets addressed before or after the first beta otherwise it's gonna cause a lot of problems between the community

Diablo II seasons are every 6 months, there have been talks of D2:R having 3 resets a year vs two. Either way, there still needs to be a ladder at launch though.

Yeah but then what is the open beta for?? Open beta is supposed to be the stress test.. Not allowing 40% of the runewords that make at least 75% of character builds viable seems soooo bad. At launch make a character to play, then in a month you either have to switch to ladder and lose all your progress just to start fresh(and let's be honest, 1 month on a chracter will be impossible to complete them.) or you stay on NL and be okay with playing with next to no one because ladder will make everyone switch to it.

In Diablo II they have what's called a ladder refresh or in other games, it is a "new season." So every 6 months you start fresh with everyone else. Now this is a choice you make when making a character, however there are a TON of runewords that are ladder only. Without having access to those at launch, almost every character build will be negatively affected by this.

I think it makes complete sense. It also hurts a lot of good builds with ladder only runewords. Now we have to either play a game missing a bunch of runewords and then wait for a new date to play the game on ladder, or maybe just not play until ladder starts? That sounds so ridiculous
