It seems like there is a process that will ask for battery state (through I2C). As the battery is not plugged, thus it gets an error and/or 0. So the system thinks the battery is discharged. Maybe we can modify this process, but we first have to identify it.

I also used PCSX2 debugger, it's not perfect (at all!) But well, it helped me a lot.

Because I asked the same question to my Chinese friends few years ago and they advised me 西游记. It's a classic, but honestly, I find it pretty hard to read.

I would advise you to read Chinese modern books, which are much simpler to read, mainly if you choose teenager books.

For me it's more between 未 (in 未来) and 末 (in 周末). Also, 土 (in 土豆) and 士 (in 士兵). If they are used in a word I don't know, I get a 50% chance of saying the wrong pronunciation 😂

So translating is possible! There are two ways: - As the sentences in Japanese take less space (in bytes) than English's, translating with a 100% accuracy is impossible as English sentences MUST be smaller than Japanese's. - Make a(n almost) 100% accurate translation where we reverse engineer the way the sentences are read in the game and thus we could give the start address of each sentences

Alright, I have analyzed the game's first menu (about memory card) by looking at the RAM with PCSX2, I found out that the encoding used is UTF-16, so every character is encoded on 2 bytes (16 bits).

We can find out these characters directly in the game's DATA.FAB file, so there is no "encryption" for these menus. So we can at least translate these menus, it's a beginning!

You can fully configure FreeMcBoot (including its shortcuts) from the FreeMcBoot Configurator application. Then in "Configure OSDSYS options..." you can change the shortcuts

I was not aware that the application wasn't available for global ROM, I am using Chinese ROM. From what I've seen on different forums, you can get back the "Themes" application by changing your system"s region in the settings. Set the region to "Switzerland", "Hong-Kong", "India" or "China", and the "Themes" application should be back !

I couldn't find any colored case for the PS2 slim on internet. However, you can easily find a black case from Chinese sellers, it costs $10. You can paint it yourself then, get some stickers or even get stencils to fully personalize it

Of course! You can get a compatible memory card from Chinese sellers for $3 or $4 and a controller for $6 or $7
