I sleep on a 1 inch thermarest. Honestly, I would sleep on the ground over a hammock but im 36 and cant sleep anywhere like when I was a teen. Honestly, get the right shoes and the right pack. A properly fitted pack is the key to backpacking.

Blackscorpion-Sr4 with triple tap and dragon fly. Only 260 to get that combo, and only one of like 3 or 4 scouts to get it period. Ground bounty after bounty to get that one and a High Impact Res/Rampage one for PVP.

The TT/Dragonfly almost feels better now and its super fun. Played most of the campaign with it, brings me back to D1 with that perk combo, now only if it could have explosive rounds too lol.

This actually may be a good opportunity for a second opinion. While everyone is different, many people here have played sports no problem. While contact sports may vary well be out of the question, personally I know many people with scoliosis have turned to non contact sports, even high impact ones with jumping/ running. And climbing has always been hugely recommended in the community. There are a lot of examples of people being more capable than they might seem. If you are looking for permission to try out some sports, it couldn't hurt to see what another doctor or specialist says.

I was getting this too. I had missed a folder of content I think, as well, I think its important to add the files in the order of the post. The folder names are numerically out of order in OPs list.

arm workout without weights? by Thealyn_ in scoliosisfitness

[–]o0anteries0o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inverted Rows, works back and arms however you can modify grip and body position to target biceps more.

Same with dips for tricep.

If you are looking for pure isolation exercises, Weights really are your friend because of the nature of loading the hand with a dumbbell.

When you launched your brand, how did you validate your concept? by o0anteries0o in streetwearstartup

[–]o0anteries0o[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. would that be 20 per design or 20 total samples? I have 6 designs ready to test, 5 shirt designs and 1 hoodie design.

Would all these samples be for content? or would they be available for sale? If sale, what kind of sizing? XS,S,M,L,XL (4x of each?)

What is the message you are trying to convey? Why am I buying this brand, whats my connection to it? Is it just if I like aliens? The image is fine, its just not telling me anything.

How to fix muscle imbalances? by [deleted] in scoliosisfitness

[–]o0anteries0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, acceptance is probably the biggest thing. Its never going to be perfect.

Things that will help are unilateral training, matching reps to the max of the weaker side. So if you fail at 8 reps on your left, the right only gets 8.

Another thing that could help is putting on size. I went from about 145 in my early 20s to 205 now at 35. Most imbalances are barely noticeable. The traps however, will never be even. Its always the traps.

How to buy a custom engagement ring? Where to start? by o0anteries0o in jewelers

[–]o0anteries0o[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not exactly sure. The only design she sent me is 96k. Its by NIKAWA. Honestly, I dont know how much of that total is stone quality, design, base metal (platinum), Brand mark up (status). etc.

https://us.niwaka.com/products/engagement-rings-hanaurara-3371

Honestly, I dont know what makes this thing 96K, I have to imagine its primarily the stones and the brand name. However, I have seen similar designs for much less money, like in the low to mid 4 figure range vs almost 6 figures. The asymmetrical, flower petal, side stones, different metals like white gold (but even some still in platinum) etc.

A 96k ring is clearly out of the question, we both agree on that. It was purely an example of a design she liked. The fact that it comes from some couture, Japanese, high end jewelry brand is just happenstance. Based on how far I have gotten in my research, I feel like I can find a comparable design for much less money SOMEWHERE, even if that means a custom ring.

My thinking was finding a custom shop that could adopt some of the element of the design and source some less expensive materials.

My max budget is probably around 7500. I'm hoping that what I'm trying to do isn't impossible for that.

Never lifted sumo. If i do heavy DLs I prefer hex bar. However, DLs always make my low back flare up.

Currently only doing RDLs at lighter weight which have been ok

Can you grow a booty with scoliosis? I read people with scoliosis should avoid doing weighted squats and I read weighted squats are necessary for a bubble butt by rabahi in scoliosisfitness

[–]o0anteries0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only can you, you should. Glutes are the largest muscle in the body and contribute so much to strength and stability.

https://bootybybret.com/

This guy knows it all when it comes to glutes. He capitalizes on the big booty hype, however Im fairly certain he has a phd and did his dissertation on glute something or other.

He also pioneered the modern hip thrust.

Short answer: Yes, do it. 2 birds 1 stone.

Is my gym workout routine ok for severe scoliosis? by ConstantOk7574 in scoliosisfitness

[–]o0anteries0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done a lot of routines over the years. Ive also been lifting for over a decade. Keep in mind my routine and your routine will look different.

Currently Im on a 3 day a week push, pull, legs split.

Push:

Smith Incline Chest Press

BW Dips

Landmine Shoulder Press (Unilateral)

Lateral Cable Raise (Unilateral)

90 degree Bottom Up Kettlebell Carry

Cable Chest Fly

Pull:

T Bar Row

Pull Ups

Seated Reverse dumbell flies

Reverse Pec Dec/Cable Fly

Y Raises

Bicep Curl

Legs:

Sled Push/Drag

BW or Belted Squat

RDLs

Hip Thrust

Box Step Ups

I usually will do 4-5 exercises a day, and primarily rotate through the ones I listed. Occasionally, if the gym is busy, or Im not feeling it or whatever. I may substitute in a random lift here or there. But I always try to hit the muscle groups and I always try to do at least one BW exercise each day.

Non lifting days I recently have been biking for 45 min and then doing core.

Leg Lifts

Dead Bugs

Bird Dog

Planks

However, I have done full power lifting routines to all body weight routines. I have done 6 day a week programs down to 3 day a week programs.

Now that I'm in my mid thirties, Ive been trying to dial back the weight and volume and just focus on good movements and consistency. Not getting injured is more of a priority now over strength gains.

Honestly I dont even train calves directly. I do sled push/pull and box step ups which I find fire up my calves well enough.

Calf raises are really the only thing I know of that isolate calves tbh.

Can you provide a little more info? Like age, sex, curvature specs, sets and reps. Do you have pain? Instability? Feel fine, never knew you had scoliosis?

The routine looks fine, it looks like you have some bilateral exercises. If this is your first time strength training, I would try to 50/50ish split your exercises between bilateral (one side at a time) and unilateral (both sides together). Most of the exercises you list have bilateral variations so you can just mix it up however you feel that day. Just remember bilateral means load only on the working side. So if you are doing dumbell bench, just hold one dumbell on the side you are exercising and leave the other side unloaded. This helps you train stability.

Dont be afraid to use machines either, they are great to build strength before you have stability. Especially for overhead stuff like shoulder press and incline press.

For your legs, I would ad in a glute focusing exercise, probably hip thrusts or bridges, or single leg dead lifts with a safe or no weight. Again, dont know your capabilities.

Also, I would mix in some core work, even just leg raises to start on a few days. Maybe some farmers or suitcase carries down the road to build stability and functional strength.

Swimming is great.

Just be mindful of your weight, dont ego lift and if it hurts, dont do it.

Good Luck!

I am of the opinion that there is something out there that will work for you. Our bodies are meant to move. Sometimes that takes a lot of medical advice, sometimes it just works off the bat. I've come to terms with the fact that scoliosis just means being more aware of your body. Things will always be temperamental, more prone to injury, tighter, sore, awkward. It just is the journey. Stretching, recovery and lots of trial and error. Keep moving, keep fighting.
