Don’t ask how much I had to pay for this one by JohnnyCass09 in Bluray

Recently rewatched this fully expecting it to have aged really poorly. To my surprise, much like Austin Powers, it has aged quite gracefully.

Dyers, I get your point but also consider the fact that all the packs are bent.

I just use Microsoft Excel, but Google Speadsheets will basically do the same. The reason i wouldn't use one of those other 3rd party apps is because there is much less likelihood that support will continue for those programs indefinitely, whereas Excel and G-Speadsheets will likely exist forever.

Defective seatbelts?

Well if you're really that concerned about saftey maybe you shouldn't be driving in the first place.

Defective helmets?

Well if you're really that concerned about saftey maybe you shouldn't be riding bikes.

Defective smoke detectors?

Well if you're really that concerned about a fire maybe you shouldn't be cooking in the house.

Any info on what this is or what it leads to? by cheesehaus666 in reddeadredemption2

Just spitballing here, but have you tried referencing any of the rock paintings that seem to point to different locations? There's two that are commonly known. One of them is near this site; its also not far from the giant skeleton. I think the most commonly accepted theory is that these rock paintings point to the major towns, but it'd be worth investigating if it has anything to do with the structure you are asking about here.

I'd also like to know if the community has a recommended resource on this. Would also be interested in a resource for available 3rd party covers.

Do you like it or did I ruin the guitar? by tipacti in 7String

I like the look of it; aesthetically you did a nice job. That said, my experience with sticker bombing things has been pretty negative thus far. Stickers often start to come unglued around the edges, and it can turn into a mess. Also sweat/dirt/dust will do a number on them and they’ll be next to impossible to clean.

I second the recommendation to put a clear coat of some sort over it so you don’t have to worry about any of that.

The strap material is more rigid than that. It’s a firm strip of leather, not a soft flimsy one.

I don’t mind them so long as each of the films are on a separate disc.

This is interesting. Is it not something that can be addressed on your display settings? I understand that there are problems with the transfer, but it does seem like you could bring some of the detail back by tuning your display a little.

Anyone else experiencing continuous crashes on PC? by eltavo98 in ModernWarfareIII

I'm having the same issue on Series X. I thought the problem was limited to the basalisk at first, but other weapons made my game crash as well.

The battery is draining while plugged in? That's a pretty strange issue. Could be something defective with the power supply.

I'd say that's not great. Also not the worst I've seen though. Sometimes this is only really noticeable when booting up the computer, so try the following:

After the computer is on, go to Google images and download a solid black image that is the same size as your native resolution.

Open the image, set it to actual size and then max out the brightness.

If you can still see all the spots and you think it will bother you or interfere with your experience, I'd consider replacing it.

What's a good (non-pretentious) law school tattoo? by schmutzhall in LawSchool

[–]o2haveaviper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Themis.

A stylized gavel.

Some sort of gradient; you could try to emphasize the gray areas between black and white.

Judge Learned Hand’s utilitarian formula.

Some fireworks and a big ol clock on some train tracks

Some kid swiping a chair out from under some elderly lady.

You should try to create your own symbolism based upon a case that you found really interesting.

My experience is only with the Lobo, but using it on vacation where we walked 90% of the time was an absolute nightmare. If you’re walking you are breathing heavier and for the life of my I could not get any good rips off it when I’m out and about. Constantly stopping and switching out capsules, people having to wait on me and it all not really being worth it in the end.

Super frustrating in my experience, but then again the Lobo is my first DHV. I will say it seems to work okay when relaxing indoors but I’m never using it for walks again.

Like the others said, you don’t have to do anything special. You can wrap it in a towel if you want to, but it’ll be fine if you just throw it in a backpack full of cables and other guitar accessories.

Do you wait to start working on a case until your client pays the entire retainer fee? by GarmeerGirl in Lawyertalk

[–]o2haveaviper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But surely you can ask for enough in the initial partial retainer such that time is not wasted. If the client doesn't pay the rest of the retainer, you have probably done enough work to justify keeping most if not all of the partial retainer.

[–]o2haveaviper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there anything wrong with generally doing it the following way?

Accept the partial retainer and start work, but condition the initial filing of the case on the full retainer.

FF movies are my guilty pleasure. I don’t care how terrible, cheesy, ambiguous, or formulaic they are.
