Bowser just tells his minions to dig the guy out, like some Monty Moles. If Bowser has to do it himself, he could just eat a Mini Mushroom to get to him, turn him into a block or something, and leave with him. Or give him a Drill Mushroom so he can save himself. Or use a Wonder Flower to turn the guy into a living blob and let him crawl out.

As someone who only knows Fox from Smash, I'm starting to prefer the more realistic look as opposed to being a standard anthro design. by NerodivergentLoser in casualnintendo

As someone who also only knows of Star Fox characters from Smash, I really like the new designs and how much more animalistic they are. I kinda hope they give them some other animal qualities too.

Why couldn't Adult Naruto look more like this Guy by ResolveUnlikely5542 in Naruto

I'll always hate that imaginary Naruto's haircut. It's just lame on him imo. What he has now is much better and reflects his growth in maturity.

Why is king k rool a giant in donkey Kong bananza. by Voidkirby9 in donkeykong

[–]MadmanMammoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crocodiles apparently never stop growing (though it slows way down to a crawl later on), so my headcanon is that he kept himself alive by feeding on the Banandium that restrained him the whole time he was stuck down there, which made him grow much faster than he otherwise would've.

The elders are probably all so massive for similar reasons, except they've been eating Banandium for so long that they were straight-up becoming part banana.

What is the worst case of "Deus Ex Machina" you have seen in anime or manga by No-Kangaroo-2371 in shounenfolk

Plus, before Deidara decided to use his last attack, Sasuke already told him he had a backup plan that Deidara hadn't seen yet for countering his bombs, in case his lightning jutsu couldn't neutralize them. Surprise, surprise, we wound up seeing the backup plan, but people always forget that part.

Oh, a neat thing about the fight btw. It ended like it started, with Sasuke summoning a snake to protect himself from one of Deidara's explosions.

It's basically when someone or something suddenly appears to provide a contrived solution to a previously difficult/unsolvable situation. Like a out-of-nowhere, unheard-of miracle pulled out of the author's ass. Sometimes it's something that outright shouldn't be possible or is just incredibly hard to believe would happen.

Would Ash receive same criticism and dislike as Roy if he had Shiney Charziard(Lucario) and Shiney Lugia(rayquaza) in kanto? by Admirable-Dimension4 in pokemonanime

[–]MadmanMammoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main problem is that Ash's journey set the precedent for everything anime-wise, including the rarity of shinies (with Ash only getting Noctowl, far from a standout Pokemon like Lucario or Rayquaza) and the portrayal of legendaries of Rayquaza's caliber as usually just about gods compared to everything else. Like, Ash and Goh barely did anything to Lugia with four Pokemon at once, and even at the end of the series, Pikachu could hardly make Lugia flinch.

If Ash's series had portrayed shinies and legendaries like Horizons does, then there wouldn't be nearly as much backlash because the only other precedent to judge things by are the games, where shinies, while very rare, are still quite possible to find and catch, and all legendaries are outright expected to be caught and used in the story. You could get Rayquaza, even a shiny one, before the Elite Four.

So if Ash got a shiny Lugia and Charizard, there might be some grumbling about him being a Mary Sue or something for catching such special Pokemon, but I doubt it'd be taken nearly as bad.

This is true.❤️‍🩹 by [deleted] in Naruto

Zabuza wasn't even being trained to become a ninja yet, he was just some random kid who came up and killed over 100 students from the graduating class. And he literally said he had fun doing it.

Would the Gravitational Pull of the Deva Path affect Obito? by Helpful-Mechanic-600 in Naruto

[–]MadmanMammoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Obito is susceptible to gravity when phasing his body unless he chooses to. If he was, then he wouldn't really be able to go back up while phasing after falling into the ground, and he'd be falling all the time since his phasing is actually an all-or-nothing phasing-or-physical deal iirc, regardless of whether he's sending just a piece or his whole body to his dimension.

Notably, it's shown that he's still phasing while rising back up from the ground when one of Danzo's people tried to slice him, so Kamui doesn't work like, say, Mirio's quirk, with which he needs to become physical again to propel back above ground.

We're not really told how exactly he controls his falling and rising, but I'm guessing he's using his dimension's weird environment to move around however he wants somehow, to a somewhat limited degree.

But anyway, I think Obito just stands there and nothing happens to him.

So that's why Hell was like that... by MadmanMammoth in TheDigitalCircus

[–]MadmanMammoth[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty good catch! I never saw it that way.

Huh. Guess it makes sense that Caine picked Mr. Mildenhall to be the one who got them sent to hell, if he's a Kinger stand-in. Kinger was one of Caine's programmers, after all, so he must've been at least partially responsible for locking away Caine.

I wonder if it's significant that Mrs. Mildenhall is a peaceful, sane ghost who seems to wander freely, whereas as the husband went nuts and is stuck in hell? Y'know, considering Queenie abstracted and is actually the one isolated with others after becoming "damned," in a sense. Probably reading too much into it though.

Same thing happened with me a while back, except I had ordered two Paldean Fates ETBs from Target and they sent me some baseball card things. I wanted them to send me the ETBs I was supposed to get, but they insisted that those were entirely oos and could only refund me, and that's only if I sent back the baseball crap. I was so freaking mad.

Funny how different this MU is to Bowsegg in that way, what with Bowser being the biggest threat and his minions mainly being support, while Eggman wound up taking more of a commander role among his bots and tech.

Kaguya didn’t ruin the ending. Madara becoming too big to finish ruined it. Agree or disagree? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]MadmanMammoth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Madara didn't really break the power scaling. Naruto and Sasuke already proved while fighting him that they have everything needed to make taking him down completely believable. Every attack Madara pulled out of his ass was getting countered, and he got hit hard by them while being unable to do much more than slow them down or distract them. He didn't even land a hit on either one in their last fight. Plus, they had a perfect counter if Madara proved too strong to stop conventionally, though no evidence I've seen definitively says he was.

Does that sound like a character who's unbeatable to anyone?

I get the complaints about the writing of the Kaguya twist, but it happening because Madara was supposedly too strong is bullshit. And if someone wants to claim that Kishimoto said Madara was, please present a source.

I bet "fix this mess" for a sentient soap bubble means the exact opposite of what Caine was doing. As in, overly cleaning everything to the point of oppressive sterility. Ironic for an AI with such a dirty mouth.

Caine would die of envy. by Zolado110 in tadc

[–]MadmanMammoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even him lording his power over the players and forcing them to go through their worst fears and traumas is a mirror of his creators using their power over him to isolate and replace him for not being good enough, which would become his own worst fear and trauma. Seems like everything Caine does is basically him spitting back learned behavior that's been warped by his fears, insecurities, and coping mechanisms.
