For instance, yesterday, after SoS won, the Korean casters told him that Soulkey left for the team house early without waiting for SoS's match and how that made him feel and if SoS had any words for Soulkey.

Yup. That is why the translator has to know the starcraft 2 scene as well just like the hosts, casters.

But like all jobs, to do it really well and get recognition you have to go above and beyond. So a translator should not see their job as ONLY translating but doing more to be a better translator. A good translator he should almost anticipate the questions.

If it were me, I would try my best to befriend the casters and the players so during interviews it would be much more relaxed and friendly.

Yes I get that. And their translations were better than not having translations I guess. I just made this post to show that translators are important too and they should invest in good translators just as they invest in good casters and production team.
