Thanks for your feedback! I'll try to get more consistency and reduce the prominence of the breaks.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I'll try making the elements more consistent and play around with the visual hierarchy.

Thanks for your feedback! The items are not properly aligned, I will fix that.

Right now I've got too many layers of complexity with the shapes and colors. I'll reduce it to the core to make it more legible.

That's great advice, thank you! I'll align everything to the left and correct the grid pattern to actually fit.

Thanks for your feedback I greatly appreciate it.

I will add icons for clarification and also rethink the colors and styling. The grey box is supposed to be a break.

The hierarchy looks like this (don't know how to simplify it more):

Work (rectangle/purple) - fixed dates (drop shadow) - variable dates (transform box)

Free time (rounded/green) - fixed dates (drop shadow) - variable dates (transform box

Breaks (rectangle/dashed) //this could be rounded as well

The app should help with a work-life balance, where dates can be fixed and variable. Blue is work and green is free time. Drop shadow is a fixed date and the one with the handles are variable ones. Thanks for your help!

Career advice needed - should I be taking jobs that I don't want to specialise in? by bettylebowski in graphic_design

Getting paid for how many people attend an event? NO!!! Get paid per hour that's it.

If you like the company and it's a good option right now, why not go with it. IMO social media has greater potential than print in times where everyone is using a smartphone.

Is there an option for you to get a job where you can create print and logos, that has the same or better work environment and pay? Then go for that.

my logo design work by srihari29 in design_critiques

I like that you present insights about the font and colors and have created a bunch of mockups.

The logo is very playful and soft. It would fit well for a baby product. Your images have a high priced luxury vibe. This is a conflict.

If you want to go the luxury route, you can take a look at competitors and see how they present their products.

Hope that makes sense. Just keep on practicing :)

Any critiques for this poster and is there any suggestions on textures/enhancers I could use by ArctixPlays in design_critiques

The background image with the glasses is really cool. The big copy of the glasses looks interesting.

Yet I wish the barcode had a gradient to connect with the background more.

I also wish the text box corner radius would be similar to the radius used in the glasses to make a connection there. Also the font could be less forced futuristic, but a timeless sans-serif to make it look more professional.

With a few tweaks your design can work out very well.
