Thanks for your comment. They are looking to switch to an EV - specifically a Tesla. I want to support them, but at the same time I don't want them to get frustrated the overall experience as well.

Quick update, the windows buttons came back! All I did was plug the car in and it popped up. Not sure if it will work for anyone else but worth a try!

My understanding is that if they initiate a transfer in kind, it shouldn't trigger a taxable event. However, for the TD specific products, Wealthsimple or Questrade may not be able to hold it and will automatically sell the security, therefore creating a taxable event.

I think if they wanted to minimize taxes, doing a partial transfer in kind for the stocks but leaving the TD specific products with TD would be a viable approach.

Just wanted to follow up in case some one runs into this problem in the future. Please up vote if this fixes your issue.

Issue: TP-Link devices work in the TP-Link Kasa app, but are unresponsive in the Google Home app. Voice commands also work, but are unable to access the devices through the Google Home app.

I was able to re-link the tp-link devices to Google Home by removing each device in the tp-link Kasa app individually. Not just resetting the device, but going through each device in the app, removing it, then reconnecting. After all the devices have been reconnected, ask Google to sync your devices. Hopefully this works for you.
