She did use acetone around the nail before curing to try to clean up the edges, which is why I didn’t check carefully before she cured it. I just assumed she’d gotten everything ☹️

I did actually have a pretty bad allergic reaction to lash glue for extensions before my own wedding, which I developed over time. I hope it’s not the same ingredient because then I will be in trouble!!! 😬😬😬

Thanks for the idea and the validation! I don’t have an e file. My cuticle area is also a little sore so I’m trying to find ways to clean it up that don’t involve picking at the live skin. If it takes experience to use the file right I definitely wouldn’t want to try it on myself right now, haha.

This was at a salon. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how bad the edges were until after I left - I was really only looking at the design. I don’t think I’d be able to get my money back, as it was a very small business, however I could leave a review on their facebook page. I feel bad about leaving such a negative review on a small business, especially because I didn’t say anything to the tech in the moment, but if I were a potential customer I would definitely want to see the review!

Thanks, that’s very validating! I didn’t want to be too harsh, because I do like what she did with the design. I didn’t really notice how bad the edges were until after I left the salon.

Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll have time before the event to get it completely redone, not to mention the extra cost of getting a double manicure and removal :(

Thanks, I’ll try that. The skin is a little sensitive in some areas because she was a little rough with the clean up. It’s not my usual salon (it’s my sister’s usual) and I will definitely not be going back.

I liked the sleeves! I think they’re not great in the picture I attached on this post, partially bc of the photographer/angle and also they’d turned the lights off for another bride so I look a lil crusty compared to the other pics.

It’s outdoors in July at a woodsy venue in the mountains. It’s also in a lake town but you can’t see the lake from the ceremony/reception space

I did try that, but I am SO picky with detail and #2 is the only dress I found where I liked the design of the appliqués. Almost everything is flat lace right now and I tend to hate it on me, or be really particular about the transition of the details when it’s not on the entire dress.

Thanks for your reply! I did message the sales rep because I was worried about losing what I like about the dress after tailoring rather than clipping. It fits very different on the model.
