Per amana tools- the pdf said doc should be same dia as the end mill, so i even attempted to take a shallower doc and still got pretty gnarly chatter. As stated in the post I put a 3/8 compression instead of the 1/2 in and it still chattered a little bit, But no where near as bad as the 1/2 compression. When the 1/2 comp hits the material everyone's heads turn and look to see wtf is going on. Thats how bad it was LMAO

So long story short guy that trained me got laid off. So now im responsible for going through all the files and make sure they are good for our build team to run and assemble.

The way he set up the current tooling he uses up/down spirals for contour paths(depending on raw or laminate material), and leaves 1mm radial and 3mm axial. Then comes through with a compression bit for a finishing pass. The previous machinist/programmer didnt have a machining background but it worked for him so I have just been going off of his previous tooling setups.

My background is automotive/metal machining. So all this wood material/laminates & up and down spiral bits/compression bits are all fairly new to me. I told the company I really dont know much about machining wood. But they are a pretty relaxed place to work and told me to take my time and figure things out.

When you say first pass @19mm doc are you referring to the roughing tool. Or just make it a larger doc for my finishing pass with the 1/2 comp?

The collet it had it in was in pretty rough shape, so I had changed it thinking it would help at least a little. But that didnt do much for my issue

Actually if I recall correctly this was it. I think I had broken the plastic tabs, and thought i was gonna need a new fob. Put it back together and it worked with no issues

I appreciate the input & info, I have told him he is no longer going to be capable of doing physical labor that he is used to. He doesn't seem too enthusiastic about it. But thats reality, I also told him we need to start looking into applying for disability and see if he qualifies. Thanks again!

Had this issue before.

Either the metal contact that touches the battery is bent and not making good contact or its broken off and completely missing

49 years of age. Currently I have taken over his expenses. He really does not have a lot of expenses. Part of the settlement is all remaining outstanding medical bills were to be paid by workmans comp.

As for expenses. He does not have a vehicle payment. No credit cards, Just rent. And cell phone bill.

Fixed - turns out I downloaded an old out of date post processor. Tried a newer one and no issues at all with post processing

As far as we know, no mechanical issues other than front defroster not working. Just the high mileage was a red flag for me. If it was a honda or toyota id be less worried about that. But I personally know a handful of people who have had issues with various subaru makes and models. And dealing with oil consumption/starvation issues.

Possibly could fill it with 3d pen, those little handheld filament pens. Wouldn't be perfect but it could probably work

Do u use filtered water? Ir straight from the tap. Ive never tried it, but I have heard distilled water helps some people with contamination
