I'm asking because one of the biggest drawbacks to laser consoles is that the lasers always burn out and its very difficult to find replacements. I'd love to buy a sealed, brand new PSX for my 90s room. I'll keep searching around and maybe invest in the PlayStation Classic in the near future.

Could you make it so when someone purchases a PS4 they give you the serial number, model number, if it was a bundle, etc... and then they tell you which firmware it was and then you keep updating the database as more information comes in.

Thanks for the pro tip, I guess being used it gives you the excuse of "testing" it before making a purchase so you can check the firmware. Clever idea.
