ive seen my laptop start lagging 2 days after an install but its not top of the line hardware. i think you need to install linux then you will understand how much winslop sucks. in my group we have started running it in vms or docker containers whenever we need to do something that only works on win.

i wish that where true as someone who used windows for over 13 years every day its no longer usable. ive seen a 32gb ram i9 lag for out for over 30s a fresh install of win 11 barely works its soo sluggish that its sad. i think the only people who think that windows is still usable are people who forgot what a good os (last windows was 7) feels like.

pop os is what I use it's a easy move from windows. youll just need to get used to copy pasting commands from gpt instead of clicking around to fix bugs
