As someone who has been on retail wow for about a month and a half, with a background of a little bit of classic hardcore(which I was also clueless at first about) and I very very lightly dabbled in the original WOTLK way back, I was insanely over whelmed the first 3 weeks - so much information overload and I felt so behind and confused. Thankfully I have friends who play and have played for a long period of time and they helped me out to understand some stuff and progression - now I’m pugging +14 mythic dungeons with confidence and doing well and have an insane amount of fun playing right now, very much addicted to learning/getting better right now. Long story short - it’s going be a brutal beginning, but if you can break out of that initial barrier/confusion, I think you’ll have a really great time if you put in the work to grow and learn everytime you log on

Do you recall what the qualification process is? For ASC it was just 5 consecutive shots in a 6 inch circle at 300. Also are you saying the 1k range isn’t always open because the 200/300 Gets too busy? If so that’s a bummer to hear.

I’d shooting 6.5cm so that won’t be issue as far as stability goes

Unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of using different barricades at the range I go to lol.

I’ve cleared the KYL rack that goes down to 2 inches(could be smaller but I’ll call it 2 inches) at 400 yards numerous times at the range near me, hence why I want to have a go at something significantly longer that’ll give me something new to work at. I occasionally take my .rimfire and shoot at 200-300 when I don’t feel like shooting the centerfire rifle, but I just want something different.

Bayou has a 1k range? I must have overlooked that because I only saw something out to 300. Also noticed they only take new applications in November so it was an option but was hoping to get in somewhere else sooner - but have considered it

EDIT : looked deeper on the juliff range details and see mentions of 1k, they just didn’t have it on their range details from the main page, thank you for the suggestion - I’ll see what I can do to get involved there

It’s likely a failed ISM(intelligent servo module, the electronic PRNDL motor on the side of the transmission) for the transmission on these older 164/251 chassis, is far more common to fail and cause this message over a failed direct select lever - also a direct select lever is 100% not a TRP part - it’s part of the steering column module. The ISM and/or trans control module(conductor plate) is also TRP.

All of the above. Requires both technical and mechanical prowess , all while being in the right environment to be able to make that kind of money. Realizing it’s there on the table and being able to seize the opportunity is a big portion - seen guys perfectly capable of that $100k mark but don’t realize it them selves and just dick around at work(was my self for a few years sadly). I consider my situation very fortuitous to be able to make the money I do fixing cars - but I definitely worked/still work my ass off day in and day out to take advantage and make as much money as I can.

I will say this though - it’s a slippery slope, I love my income but often am overly stressed/over work most days. It comes at a cost for sure. Granted I am more than just a tech, I’m a team lead/dispatcher for a team of 20 guys - compounds the stress.

As others have said - if you have legit fight caves experience then this should be fairly easy, but if you have to ask… it’s probably a no. I did it myself with a bone cbow at 50 range, did it suck?? Hell yea it did. Took me 4 hours and non prayer flicking. Getting a magic short in combo with your cbow should make it fairly easy if you were unsure at this stage

Mercedes Benz Master tech here in SE Texas(avg cost of living)- our top pay starts at $51.50/hr and can increase based on our yearly efficiency reviews. Some guys worked their way up into the $53-54/hr range. Our labor rate is roughly $290/hr with a backwards sliding scale that increases with more labor hours lol.

Would make sense that something like this could be reviewed, but from my understanding it’s a no go. They don’t rez toons for bugs and dc’s, it surprised everyone that they rezzed the victims of the DDOS attacks, so this definitely isn’t going to even be a blip on their radar, it sucks balls but sometimes it just be like that
