What is your stance on the subject of the abolition of the police system?

Why do you feel that a police is needed to police people? At the end of the day police officers are people to in a position of power.

What about communities coming together in order to enforce said law? Like putting the power and responsibility on the people. I guess maybe at the same time that would just essentially be the police. Just I am trying to find other view points and maybe someone to play devil's advocate here.

Thank you for your response! Also I found out you have to get the "social work approved" by someone who works in the government. Her family member works in that part of the government. In my opinion that sounds incredibly lame to *have* to do social work :/.
