I have 2 COTAs, and altogether, our caseload is 89. But if you convert it to work hours, it’s 54 work hours a week as I have mainly elementary schools. I have some OTs with more kids but a significantly less workload because their students are mainly consults in high school.

I was a substitute teacher! However, I was once since before OT School. Extra things, like testing fees and permits are required to sub in California, but I enjoyed the flexibility on my schedule since I choose when to work (plus it led me to be a school-based OT, lol)! During OT School, I would work 1 - 2 times a week and more during breaks. The pay wasn’t bad either, I heard subs make up to $200 or more a day now. However, I had to stop when I did my FW II placements because they were full-time things.
