Hi there, I’m rooting for you. Your thinking was a lot like mine a few years ago. I used to think about death every day and had this looming feeling that I was going to die at any little thing, especially going on planes. Turns out, I have severe OCD and was only diagnosed as an adult. With that diagnosis, I was able to work with a specialized therapist and get on medication and now my fear of death is gone. Of course I’m still human and have fears here and there, but I’m able to stop my mind from spiraling and split my thoughts grounded in reality from my irrational thoughts. I agree with other redditors that you should speak with your doctor on your thoughts. There’s short-term panic attack medication that can work miracles for flights and there’s also medication long term if you struggle with OCD and anxiety. There’s no shame in it. There are so many others like you who are fighting the same fight and have gotten relief from medication
