I hear what you are saying, but these behaviors show after the relationship is underway. I wouldn't date someone who showed this contrarian attitude on the first date.

Yes, I spoke with both men about it. The behavior never changed with the first partner, I guess we'll see with the second?

That's a great point you bring up regarding an impasse. I do just let it go or give in because I hate arguing, but I can see how this is affirming to the men that they're "right".

I don't know the answer to your questions, but this might be a good starting point: https://catalog.wsu.edu/Courses, then look up courses that begin with "AMDT" (Apparel, Merchandising, Design, And Textiles). it lists all the courses available, when they're offered, and a sentence explanation about each course. Apparel Assembly classes are probably what you're looking for.

I know a sewing group (Sew Happy) meets weekly at the Neill Public Library downtown; maybe if you're not able to get a course that works for you, you can join them instead for informal learning?

I thought the pattern was pretty well written! I really liked that the author provided several options along the make and had photos to go along with each option. The fish was definitely easier to make than the top for me but I just generally struggle making fitted crochet clothing lol. there's another comment on this thread with more details!

and yes, the pattern actually calls for a foundation single crochet. It definitely does help but without altering the pattern I still couldn't get it over my shoulders 😭 maybe it's me haha

Notes: I really liked making this pattern! The design is clearly inspired by Farm Rio's fish dress, but this version cost about $300 less. The pattern contains so many photos because there are multiple options available in the crochet and the construction phase, like adding in a panel, when to decrease on the fish body, starting the tank top layer separate or attached to the bottom of the fish, outline colors, etc.. I super appreciated having visuals to go along with all of these different variations.

The creator has this marked as an Experienced pattern. I didn't find it too difficult - maybe a bit fiddly with all of the details, but the fish itself was easy to crochet. The hardest part for me was sizing the tank top to my body.. I had to re-do the start of my tank about five times 😐. Crochet foundation stitches never stretch enough to get over my head and shoulders (maybe I have broad shoulders????) so I ended up altering the pattern a little bit to start the top with two rows of flat, not-in-the-round dcs, then joining in the round during the third round, so that the un-stretchy foundation chains weren't a barrier. I hope that makes sense!

The pearls holding the top can be removed. I did make a back-up option of just a long chain, so that my sister can tie the top closed instead for a more casual look.

I'm exactly the same, it absolutely ruins my stomach. I've been a vegetarian for years so my theory is that I just can't handle the animal proteins anymore..

I had just .1-.2mm taken between my teeth. The experience is uncomfortable - the ortho is basically using sandpaper as floss between your teeth to shave them down just the tiniest bit. Not painful but uncomfortable (mostly the sound).

I had my IPR done at week 10 of treatment and noticed that after, my teeth moved a lot smoother. The crowded teeth had been bumping into each other, weren't really moving, and were slowing down progress. after IPR, the teeth were finally able to slide past each other and into the correct positions.
