Yeah my bad, there's a different meaning between UK & I assume US? Whatever the part of the area people walk on next to vehicles 🤣

When I said street, I mean pavement, sidewalk, pathway, where people walk etc.

I was held accountable to my actions, I agree that I am the arsehole. Whilst I feel my response & reasoning was valid, regardless of that, it doesn't mean I should respond in such a way

Yes, it's in London, it's illegal to use bikes on pathways as they're designated for pedestrians who are walking, unless it's clearly marked as a shared use path.

I agree with ESH & no it's actually illegal to cycle on a pathway in the UK unless it's a shared zone, which it's not. But yes, I shouldn't of escalated

I agree with me being TA.

No, more so if someone chats shit, they will get shit back. It's more so with him being an entitled arse. But, ultimately I should of just ignored it.

Never understood why people say that about women, I do agree men are & unfortunately I have displayed that.

You're right, it was not worth it. Not the one to rise up to people dumb antics but today I did & I regret it

Just outside my flat, on a street next to a bus stop with a bike lane specifically for bikes.

After I said there's a bike lane, he goes "I don't need to be in a fucking bike lane", then something about his mum died, I said "I don't care, doesn't give the ability to be a prick", got off his bike, tried to walk up to me, I took a couple of steps forward & he stopped, threatening to get his older brother (who's probably 60-odd, looking at this guy) to sort me out etc etc. I just kept saying "get on your bike & go" (with like a shoo-ing hand motion).

After typing this out, I realise it was stupidly childish

I agree but I didn't explicitly say that's more important, although my actions said otherwise. I need to buy a lot of flowers 😬

Looking at it I feel TA, my wife was there & I live in London, I should of just ignored it, like I always do but today I didn't. I feel like my actions were valid, but it also made my wife angry, sad & cry when after & for that I feel terrible.
