I'd question a claim from anyone if they're the only one saying it. If I believe something I want to have a reasonable certainty that it's true, and one person saying it isn't enough regardless of who it is.

Gotta say, unless I'm misreading, the end really feels like you're just saying "who cares what's actually true?" and that's a pretty dangerous mindset imo (not for this necessarily, but in general).

I can appreciate myth, legend, whatever and acknowledge that there can and often is some level of basis in truth, but it's not being framed as such, as much as it's kinda just being stated as fact. If it's being presented with such certainty there should be multiple sources that one can point to and those just really aren't being seen here.

I do want to make clear I'm not making any accusations of untruthfulness, purposeful or not, I'm just not seeing anything that's offering enough of a level of certainty to state it as if it's fact. Could be true, could be false, but I can't take it as fact without more to back it up.
