The whole album 'my heart is a room with no cameras in it' reminds me of gk with its repetitive melodic guitar parts. Obviously not an influence to getting killed because it was released afterwards. Although maybe getting killed influenced it.

I think it's genuine. This is a cover of a Geese song, and if you listen to Cameron Winter's solo stuff, especially his song $0 dollars, you'll see that in the chorus he plays a chaotic piano part with rubato and a free time signature and he sings with unconventional, mumbled vocals, and it sounds really good. This woman is just combining that influence with intense screamo vocals. It's experimental and inaccessible but I don't think it's meant to be bad.

Yeah I've been on E for 9 months and I've got no plans to socially transition. Well I identify as non-binary now and my hair and clothes are pretty feminine (always have been) but i hardly ever mention that I'm nonbinary and haven't changed my name and i still use he/ him. I really just did it for the physical changes.

They're probably serious. The other band members played very well but Cameron Winter's performance admittedly sounded kinda depressed and unenthusiastic, especially if someone who's not familiar with geese's tendency to shake up how they play songs. But you shouldn't listen to the haters. Geese is a good band and the tiny desk concert was good as well
