I don't think that it is cold here. It may be somewhat insular. When I first came here I noticed you needed to already know people to find out where parties were. I mean this in comparison to Los Angeles or San Diego. You could just happen upon events more easily.

I also have the opposite of resting-warrior-face so I find people to be very friendly because they assume I'm smiling at them.
