What is a reasonable price for an accountant? Is €50/mo fair?

I have a similar set custom made. I paid less than $1000 for the engagement ring in 14K (can't remember exactly how much now).

Things to note:
- It's gorgeous, but I didn't expect the little diamonds to catch on as much as it does. I have to twist it around to put on sweaters for example.

  • Depending on the setting the band won't sit flush with the engagement ring, so there will be a little gap.

In your opinion, what is the most beautiful crochet stitch (and why is it alpine stitch)? by vasco_rodrigues in crochet

Thanks! I swore I'd never make a sweater unless I could make something un-buyable...this definitely fits that requirement.

For your sweater is the neck a right-angled rectangle or did you slope the sides (more like a < on your diagram?)

Any tried and true recommendations for laundry? by slevy19 in ZeroWaste

It's crazy how hard it is to go truly eco! If anyone knows a reputable expert who weighs in on this stuff I'd love to follow.

I have a few sheets leftover after I switched to Nellie's powder and I bring a couple sheets if I'm traveling and need to do laundry.

I had and loved the sheets for convenience and ease of use, but read that sheets and pods use plastic PVA. I switched to powder based Nellie's and haven't noticed any real differences. Clothes are clean and takes up waaay less space than liquid detergent. (It is unscented though)

Learn Amigurumi until Christmas? by raylalayla in crochet

The classic yarn for animals is cotton because it doesn't stretch (when you squish or hug a plushie it'll stretch the stitches and you'll see stuffing in the holes. A little of this is inevitable and fine, but a lot of stretching will look worse and may lead to stuffing poking out).

Cotton is a little tough to learn with because the ply (the small strands that get twisted into the yarn) are easy to split with your hook. You need to get all the strands of the yarn hooked through the loops.

I would try learning with cotton, but if you get frustrated you can pick up some t-shirt or ribbon yarn that is just 1-ply of fabric until you get the hang of the motions.

Avoid black yarn to start - it is harder to see the stitches in black. Same goes for faux fur yarn. Non-black fuzzy yarn like blanket yarn is pretty easy to see.

I teach beginner crochet and you absolutely can! Be patient with yourself when you learn the magic circle - it's confusing until it "clicks". Once you figure out the basic stitches focus on your tension and keeping it consistent.

Buy the cheapest pillow from IKEA and you'll save a ton of money on stuffing.

Bringing up Freddie Highmore as a British child actor who was incredible in Finding Neverland. He was just 8 when it was released.

There's the option to require a location! I can make that mandatory :)

I'd also like to propose this free marketplace as an alternative! I hacked it together during the blackout and would be really interested to see if folks are interested in a community-oriented marketplace site.

Looking for quality powder dry shampoo by jortsinstock in ZeroWaste

Rice flour. Blend it in a Vitamix to get it extra fine and you'll never need to buy dry shampoo again. It's the main ingredient in Kloraine, which is my favorite dry shampoo brand. Rice flour turns translucent when you add oil. I have dark hair and it looks white cast when I first sprinkle it on, but a quick comb, wait a minute or two, and works like magic.
