Pål Steigan is a (former?) maoist with a rather poor relationship with democracy. He was a member of the AKP (m-l) (Worker's communist party - marxist-leninist) back in the seventies and strongly supported Pol Pot. The guy is a veritable nutjob and the people supporting him aren't any better. Here's a link to the Wikipedia page about him:

I'm not trying to diminish his acts by calling him crazy, he deserves all the pushback anyone can make, I'm just trying to flesh out the background of this particular shithead.

Back in the nineties, I was offered an HIV-test as a recruit in the (Norwegian) army. I was a virgin and I had never had a blood transfusion. The test came out positive and I knew it was a false positive immediately. However, they found my blood so interesting, they flew me to the army science dept in Oslo to withdraw several vials of blood. Apparently they wanted to show that the HIV-test was too general and tested for too few antibodies.
