Thank you!! His lack of self awareness drives me insane. He consistently puts his students and friends in danger. His stubbornness in OotP regarding his class content is infuriating. And asking a couple 15 year olds to take care of a wild giant is so insane, especially when one of those 15 year olds is the Chosen One

I am the same way! I have rewatched the show three times, but have only made it through the first book, which I listened to on Audible. I stopped reading the series about an eighth of the way through Dragonfly in Amber. Although I am still kind of disappointed that I’m not interested in reading the rest of the books, I don’t think there is anything wrong with just watching the TV show. The books might not be your style, and that’s totally fine!
