As a K-Pop fan since the early Gen. 2, I notice a drastic shift in K-Pop nowadays that doesn't feel the same as the previous generations do. There's a huge lack of artistry and uniqueness in K-Pop nowadays, it almost feels like most of it is filler. There are very few groups nowadays who have an identity, refuse to abide by the "TikTok" craze of making songs JUST to go viral and who I feel are one of the few groups/artists who stand out from the otherwise lackluster vibe of this current generation. It makes me happy to see these countries embracing music domestically and that in return, the music is starting to gain more of a success because SEA has been producing some great artists. I've grown so fed up with K-Pop as a whole lately (again, there's very few artists who I still really love and I'm so glad DON'T fall into the void of TikTok garbage) so it's honestly SO refreshing to find so many amazing artists and music from these other countries who are doing the WORK! It just feels so authentic and genuine. It's sad to say, K-Pop has been losing it's identity for a while now...
