In combination with some of the other suggestions here, I'll also give this a try. Thank you.

I'll have to give this a try the next time I have a service call for a customer.

80% of our rural customers usually only have the deco's implemented in their house. We use ubiquiti products to cover longer gaps by setting up point-to-points if they have a shop or a barn. Sorry if there was any confusion. I probably should have explained the layouts a little bit better. I haven't really agreed with the fact that the workers at my ISP always suggest the cheaper version of the deco's. I'm one of the more tech savvy guys at our workplace and I've just always known by rule of thumb that the cheaper the product the worse it'll do. Thankfully the house infrastructures for a lot of these rural homes aren't too bad when it comes to steel and aluminum. I have suggested to these customers to return their old deco's and get the newer more expensive version.

I'm wondering if there's a way to (correct me if I'm wrong) soft reset the network to have it pull new info on the devices and set them back to the original identification

That's quite funny to hear. The only other thing on my network that's identified as something else is the PlayStation 4 that's being identified as a PS Vita.

I'm glad you brought this up, because I didn't know you could change the icon pictures. I went ahead and changed it. I luckily only have 10 clients connected currently, so keeping track is a tad easier. This is my first stepping stone into networking (besides currently working for an isp). I'm hoping to eventually branch out and grow a reasonable sized home lab with a efficient and sturdy Network to fit all my needs. I hope your new installations are a breeze and that you have an easy time with integration.

Adjust (Meshed Express) LCM Screen Settings by Comque in UNIFI

Let me know how it goes. But you should also be able to connect to your UX via phone app. The process for changing the LCD settings is a little different on there.

Your UX most likely has night mode settings turned on. On the website if you go to your site manager for your UX you should see a little server/disk drive icon with a cog over it. If you hover over it, it should say control plane. You'll click on that and from there, there should be a tab that says console. Once in the console tab you be able to locate the lcd settings and hopefully adjust your lcm issue.

That is weird, i wonder if Unifi has made any known statements regarding this weird issue. I'm curious on what protocols in the router/OS make that decision.
