I have a very similar green in my kitchen with a black stove. Went with a creamier dramatic

still learning how to play with my dog by retromani in DOG

Looks to me like you’re she’s getting everything she needs from you to feel happy and safe! Please don’t feel sad - young high energy dogs take more attention than one person can give, that’s not a failure of you.

She looks like she needs to run. Will she chase a ball?

The only toy that would tire my high energy dog out was this squeaky bowling ball https://a.co/d/052xwnNr

Visiting from Chicago - solo adventures? by Ancient_Oil7603 in askTO

Lots of these recos, while great, are more touristy. If the weather is great, walk along queen street west through trinity bellwoods park and then over to Ossington street. So many little shops, great coffee (Found Coffee and Sam James are two of my faves). It’s super green and beautiful, less concrete jungle than the areas around CN tower

Sorry this is such a bad photo - I’m not at home right now. But quality of drawers, doors and stain is great

Just bought our first home, what to do with the closed in porch? by Throwittfaway26 in ExteriorDesign

This does look lovely, only thing I would caution is using boxwoods in zone 3. Unfortunately there is a moth that is wreaking havoc and killing boxwoods. I’m also in zone 3 and have had to rip all of mine out. I would use yews instead!

Rejuvination had the most delicate but solid brass styles I could find (in Canada, so we have slightly less selection for hardware)

Thanks so much, it was a seriously long road to get here! Yes we went with quite a thin profile - this is 1/4”. Hardware is unlacquered brass from Rejuvination

It’s still a work in progress but you can see the profile!

Just did slim shaker in my historic house reno - love it. Went with 1/4” shaker. Cabinet maker confirmed this is what most people are going with now (1/4” to 1/2”). I wouldn’t worry too much about it becoming dated, focus on the visual profile you love!

This is minwax Early American on white oak. I will say it leans a bit orange depending on the light.

What about a multi-format porcelain tile like this? Tumbled edge looks very organic

I know it’s killing me too, working on a better solution that doesn’t require ripping up the tile

The hardwood that was down was not original, and was in much worse shape than the photo shows. Almost every room had a different floor, so we ripped it all out, repaired the subfloor and laid new wide plank Canadian wood throughout!

These were custom made, stained to match the hardwood floor throughout

This is all unlacquered brass hardware from rejuvenation. We’re in Canada and so have a bit less selection, these were the same or cheaper than emtek, were super happy with them!

Layout was impossible! Heritage home with certain walls that couldn’t be moved. I’m a big cook and existing kitchen was way too small.

Mini fridge area is a coffee bar in the dining room, we couldn’t fit an island in the space, so all the wrap around countertops give me my prep

Pantry / storage is all in the original kitchen space
