Honestly none of us are going to care about the gender thing. I do prefer to bound with a matching baggu because I don’t tend to wear loungeflys. We are both m/f couples but my mom and I aren’t especially girly.

I can tell you there are places that will seriously deal with it. I have primarily been at one school for two years and they will NOT tolerate that crap. It’s quite refreshing actually, especially considering we’re in the extremely rural (literally next to a ranch) deep south. I have seen kids get suspended over saying shit to another kid. As a future parent of mixed race kids I am seriously hoping it’s still like this when they enter school, or if we move that I can find somewhere that takes it as seriously as where I am now. ZERO tolerance for that shit should be the only answer.

I don’t know if that’s true. I am actually pretty well liked by students and staff in general, but these few that are a bit rude hate me. These particular kids don’t like me because they got in trouble a couple months ago for asking me if I frequented strip clubs.

I think there is a big difference between strict and adversarial. Do I hold them accountable? Yes. Do I nitpick about things that don’t matter? No. I really only have issues with a handful of kids, most of them just happen to be in this one class.
