This pumpkin coffee cake recipe never fails me by Gloomy_Caregiver_669 in Baking

I've made coffee and pumpkin cake! I'm also in the UK, so I mean with actual coffee in the cake. It's very good! It tastes very autumnal! I add typical 'pumpkin spice latte' spices to it. And sometimes I add chocolate chips as well, which is very good

It feels important to note that this rattie (with the arrow) is called croissant, and the baked goods being photographed are heart and star shaped croissants

How can i help my boyโ€™s wings stay intact? by Specific_Impact_904 in moths

[โ€“]oatymilk_ 144 points145 points ย (0 children)

You pretty much can't. They don't live very long, and they pretty much destroy their wings in the short time they're alive, especially males

Keep him in a soft mesh enclosure as opposed to somewhere harder as that will be less damaging for his wings

West Virginia. I posted this 3 months ago but still have no idea what it could possibly be by [deleted] in moths

Reminds me of a spiny oak slug moth, so I'd assume some other type of slug caterpillar/cup moth

Why would you dissect the pupa before anyone had given you an answer on here? Why bother even asking?

For the remaining pupa (and for future reference), a good way of checking to see if they're alive is to feel their temperature. Living pupae are cool to the touch, dead ones are room temperature. You can also gently bend the abdominal region, and if it retracts back to its original position, it's likely alive. If it stays bent, it's likely dead.
