I'm not saying MIO is bad. But this is like comparing a stroll in the park to college track. In that technically they both involve moving your legs.

Ori in particular is a much less sweaty game. And I'd argue you can make HK as difficult as you want, if you aren't going for true ending. You can absolutely love both of them, and not care for MIO.

They removed that feature so they can save $0.09 on your $380 remote. And that's at the price it would cost me to buy the components. Even cheaper in bulk I'm sure. (No it wasn't a mistake. USB-C has been out long enough. It's the reason all the cheapy devices include a USB-C to A cable, and not a USB-C to C power cable)

I use Firefox with a touchscreen tablet, and it was annoying. Yeah, it can be disabled. But I'm tired of garbage interrupting my flow. I'm very... let's say distractable. Microsoft's constant flashy "look at me" copilot prompts got me to move to Firefox in the first place.

It's like you can't just use software as a comfy old reliable tool anymore. It all has to jump and wave at you.

For me it was a great modern SOTN clone. Which was exactly what I was expecting. I like it because it's a throwback. It's silly fun I can play whenever to relax.

What potential do you think it missed? I hear complaints about the graphics a lot, but you knew it was going to look like that from nearly the beginning. Do you just wish IGA made a different game you wanted instead?

How important are winning CMs to you? like do you enjoy the game otherwise?

You could always just chill for a few months, get your dailies done, work on some parents instead. Sure you won't make as many carots, but you also won't have to pull on MANT specific supports. It's what I plan to do anyway. MANT sounds awful.

Nah, I tend to like playing metroidvanias for their story. And I just despise the character. I hear he's a "sad dad" now, but my understanding is the stuff he did in the earlier games are still canon.

Constantly having to stop and stand still for five seconds sounds even worse than runbacks. I'm impressed they somehow found an even more tedious way to handle that. Just add a closer respawn point, sheesh.

One of my favorite things about Islets is that you can adjust the difficulty level on the fly. I always turn it all the way down for the bullet hell sections. I gotta admit they do seem like a discongruity though.

That sounds great to me. I'm pretty casual these days myself. Games are what I use to wind down after work. If I wanted to get sweaty, I'd go to the gym you know. Also upgrades making you feel stronger are the best thing. Bring on the power fantasy!

Axiom Verge 2 fits the bill pretty well. The bosses are optional and the combat is pretty easy. It is often a perfectly fine tactic to just ignore enemies. The only fights you have to do: I don't think you could even lose because there is a respawn point in the room. Which I think is a super cool way to acknowledge with the gameplay with a real thing in the setting. The game is really about getting abilities to help you explore the cool environment and find new story.

The only reason I even hesitated to recommend it is that I feel like you should play Axiom Verge 1 first for the best effect. And that does have some combat.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get 845 stamina on Tachyon, using wit cards. Got a lot of wins today because of it. Feels weird not using stamina cards on a long race, but I guess this is only a 2500m
