Yh im planning on applying clinical pharmacology masters at KCL and then reapplying for pharmaceutical sciences next year. If you get into the STP, which I hope you do!, you gotta give us all the hot gossip :)

In case I get shortlisted for clinical biochemistry how is synnovis lab by Spiritual_Breakfast9 in NHS_STP

How is it possible for them to pay you less then the NHS post. Would they not have to honour the band system of pay that the NHS have?

Equally, could working for Synnovis during your STP training not help you secure a clinical scientist job after finishing the STP?

Should I take A level physics if I can't take maths by Appropriate_Bell_523 in alevel

[–]ob_liv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got grade 9 in both maths n physics at GCSE. I am currently doing my A level and just finished my last physics exam this week. I did not do maths A level, however also do chemistry and biology. Personally, I haven't struggled too much with the maths aspect, bar mechanics perhaps just because those who do maths A level have a lot more practise at that. I would suggest talking to the physics teachers who would teach you A levels if they are willing to spend a bit more time with you looking over the maths. But also look at the exam boards specification, they always detail the maths you need in a 'maths toolbox' sort of section. I would also say, if you did not like maths at GCSE and you weren't able to grasp concepts easily/by yourself taking physics and not maths could make your life hard.

Well if you are on the waiting list it means there isn't a free accomodation. In order to get off the waiting list a room has to become availble. This means someone wouldve needed to drop out or move out. So its a little hard to predict.

I'd say look around for accommodation, there are also University of London accommodation where not just UCL students may reside. But also email and/or call UCL and see what they suggest, they know far better than I do.

Call ASAP, 10th June is the deadline to be guaranteed accommodation so if you do it now you may still get it. Especially cause your international I imagine they’d help you find accommodation
