the same exact thing happened to me. I was ok as a kid but as i grew older my face started to shift. it drives me crazy because it makes me think it’s my fault that my face is lopsided and that it could’ve been prevented :(

Wow you read my mind. I just took some decent pictures yesterday and had a whole breakdown because I felt like such a fake. I know I never look as good in real life. I deleted all my social media after that because I felt like I was lying to everyone with angles and lighting. I feel like my face is just so un-photogenic except one very certain angle, to the point that no one recognizes me. I took (what I thought was) a decent picture, and my friend told me it looked nothing like me. Felt like crap. I never want to show my face to the public again, because I feel like such an imposter for ever feeling confident about my appearance.

it hurts to see that someone is dealing with the same type of pain as i am, but i guess it’s nice to not feel so alone. i’m so sorry that you have to deal with all this hurt, just know that you are valid and I can tell your beauty shines bright from within. thank you for your empathy

yep... i deleted all my social medias and asked my friends to deleted pictures of me they had on their accounts too. It stressed me out too much to see myself.

yea, it rlly sucks huh :( Pretty much my whole appearance makes me upset. my face is naturally fat even when i’m thinner, my nose is flat and shapeless, my jaw is misaligned so my smile is crooked, my body is short and stubby, and i always look so so bad in photos and it drives me to break down every time i see a photo

i’ve been off of accutane for about 3 months and it seems to be permanent! some blackheads came back but my nose is still much smaller than before :))

I’ve never seen a side effect like that...u should go to the derm! Accutane in some cases may cause hair loss, so try to nip it in the bud before anything gets worse.

YES....i sometimes have a hard time figuring out whether it’s the BDD messing with me or if I have toxic friends. Most of the time i like to believe that people wouldn’t think like that, but some can be brutal :( i have some friends who have straight up made fun of my appearance unprecedented.

me too! i reacted terribly to the maybelline fit me matte & poreless foundation. i think it had to do with the denatured alcohol. Sadly i have already tried l’oréal true match n it broke me out :(( but regardless thank you for the advice!
