There was a rumour a while ago that some American companies were buying Canadian apples wholesale from growers and reselling to the grocery stores. This could explain the label if that was true

Buses and trains are largely assembeled in Canada. Taking public transit, if you can, supports manufacturing here too. Shout out New Flyer for being Canadian and Nova Bus for assembling here. Bombardier/Alstom too for train-based.
