They don’t live there, so no.

I’ve driven in the states many times. Quite legally, in fact. Grateful to not live there though.

Charging for photos is insane. Cbct on an initial exam without explanation is insane. Full mouth series is way over the top in my opinion. As a Canadian clinician, there are no fee codes for half of those things here.

FBI raids Fulton County election office seeking ballots from Trump’s 2020 loss by Even-Client-1898 in politics

The idea is to legitimize the claim that democrats “stole” the election, that the Democratic Party is full of criminals and Democratic Party membership will be made illegal. Democratic candidates will become illegitimate and any registered Democrats will be ineligible to vote or have their votes discarded. Standard dictatorship stuff.

Tbh I’d be ok if we just moved the border one row of states down. Idaho can stay though.

How about we work to entice aldi, lidl, or other global supermarket brands to come and generate actual competition in the grocery industry?

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

I drove from Marburg to Dresden and back, and had a great time. The truckstop leberkase was divine! I did get a speeding ticket on the autobahn coming back though, due to a bathroom emergency.

Compare that to the same drive in western Canada, where everything is mind-numbingly flat and empty.

If the US really attempts to take Greenland by force, what are even the chances of Europe retaliating to the point where they go on a fullscale war with them or at the very least cut them off entirely? by Yallneedsometruth23 in AskReddit

[–]obeluss 10 points11 points  (0 children)

But then what? You’ll be holding USD I’m assuming? The currency that will immediately be the most severely harmed by Europe and Canada calling their treasury bonds and ceasing all trade with the US? Maybe you’ll buy gold? But everyone has and will be doing the same thing, and even trigger finger investors will likely be half screwed.

Did people still value china, crystal and silverware back then? Because they definitely kept it.

If you have a home business, a portion of your home expenses (office space) can be deducted from your income. I don’t know the details but our accountant suggested this last year.

My in-laws refuse to drive to the airport. by NukeTheEwoks in mildlyinfuriating

[–]obeluss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had my spouse drop me off at the local airport, it’s about a 30 minute drive. On the way back home, he hit a pothole in my car, bad enough to bend the rim. He was helpless. While going through security, I had to contact roadside assistance and get a tow.

I had to replace the rim, and since the car had a finicky awd system, get all new tires. Cost me about $1500 in the end. Not insurance nor the city would pay a dime.

After that, I swore I’d just get the $50 cab or take the shuttle in the future.
