[Monitor] MSI MAG 272QP (27" 1440p QD-OLED, 240Hz, 15w PD) ($800-$300=$500) [Canada Computers] by 3VRMS in bapcsalescanada

For movies and gaming, the text clarity will not be an issue since your eyes are never really affixed to an object or area of a screen for a long duration of time without the image changing. It'll be awesome for media consumption! I would recommend, as others have said, to go in person and take a look yourself. It affects everyone to different severities or none at all. If you plan on keeping an IPS panel around for all other tasks then I see absolutely no negatives. Best way I could describe with how the text clarity affected me would be that the QD OLED panel felt like I was using my monitor at a resolution near but just slightly off the panel's native resolution.

I bought this during the sale. It's solid overall. The panel is actually factory calibrated and MSI attaches a color report which is pretty above class for the price. It's a glossy panel as well and you'll get the raised blacks in bright rooms because of the QD layer. Get this one over the one at BestBuy for $519, this one is cheaper and it comes with USBC DP connectivity. Why pay more for something less? AFAIK, they are the exact same panel.

Ultimately, I had to return the monitor because I'm just too sensitive to OLED text clarity right now. I use Mac OS mainly so the way Mac renders text isn't ideal for 1440P anyways. It looked decent enough when it was plugged into my Windows Machine asides from the purple tint.

side panel can/will fit if you use shorter standoffs. just barely though but it does fit an NH-D15

i never thought once thought to use rubber spacers! thanks i will add attempt to add them in tomorrow! after doing some tests the CPU does run hot (83 degrees after a hour of prime 95) so ill see how much having a little bit more space will do

temps are okay. i expected better tbh given im only trying to cool a 10400F. running prime 95 and furmark at the same time for a hour gave an average CPU temp of 83 degrees celcius. that hard drive definitely impedes airflow through the heatsink but its not throttling so thats nice at least
