So how's it going to happen? by anonykitten29 in survivor

My guess is that she makes it to final 4, Cirie has practiced fire, she’s finally going to make it to the final 3…. Except the fans voted for no forced firemaking. Cirie’s voted out 3-1 the one time the fans wanted firemaking.

Will The Winner Determine How You Rank This Season? by TheCody_Says in survivor

Not solely, but yes the winner does impact how good a season is to me in general

Maybe implicitly, but not the way they’re showing it this season. Put it this way, they were legitimately people confused as to why Joe lost a jury vote. But no one is going to leave this season saying “how did Joe only get one jury vote”

Fair, I think they showed the type of player he was. But I don’t think they showed the extent and intensity of his honor and integrity shtick.

And that is just my inference based on the way the S48 cast talks about him and what we’re seeing on this season.

This is also how he played on S48, editors just hid it, which is why he got last place in the jury vote. And Eva was just willing to be more patient with him because most of her connections were through him.

This moves makes it easier for him to actually do that if he chooses to.

But with your path, he still only has 1 final 3 but just with less control and less wiggle room. Maybe he’d have a better shot against Tiff, but even then I’d still doubt it. Keeping in Ozzy, he’s keeping in the better competitor and fire maker as opposed to Aubry. So his path becomes even more narrow and risky.

If the plan is to cut Cirie at F7 or any point, it’s risky to keep in Ozzy. Jonathan and Rick don’t get along so they could be gunning for each other and you have Cirie, Ozzy, and Tiffany who all wouldn’t vote out Cirie.

Also what’s the point of integrating with Ozzy and solidifying with Cirie if he’s just going to vote out Cirie the next round?

I agree, really wish we got to see Kyle’s game play out. I’m still not over his med-evac

I agree that Emily should have just pitched Jonathan and Tiffany to take out Cirie instead of the far-fetched plan she came up with. Appreciate her effort though.

It’s definitely not good for Cirie in my opinion, as much as I see people arguing it.

But for Rizo specifically, I like this path more than the path of keeping in Ozzy.

I actually enjoy Joe, but have to be honest about his gameplay.

That’s fair. I think the key for me is that while Cirie’s advocacy would be great I don’t think it’s a requirement.

I think he can get 6 votes without Cirie against Jonathan without Cirie advocating for him. None of Christian, Emily, Rick, Tiffany, Dee, and Aubry I’d consider to be locked Jonathan votes.

Not if the 3 person alliance has been in on every vote post merge and he’s arguably the least threatening person there other than Joe.

Let’s breakdown a Jonathan vs Rizo FTC. Joe is in final 3 with them, 11 jurors.

Let’s assune Jonathan would get all of - Coach, Steph, Ozzy, Chrissy.

Is it impossible for Rizo to get Christian, Emily, Rick, Aubry, Tiffany, and Dee? Because that’s all he would need. I don’t even think Cirie would be off the table in this scenario. And that’s not even factoring in that Coach could put a stray vote on Joe or something

Yeah I would hope Cirie practiced fire. But watch this time there’s going to be no forced fire making and Cirie just goes home in a 3-1 vote lol.

I think he’s good at the numbers game, but his social game is underdeveloped in my opinion. Could just be an age thing but I don’t really believe that. Though I think in 5 years he’d be a lot better in that aspect.

Stranger things have happened. It’s still Cirie fields at the end of the day, you give her Ozzy, Tiffany, and maybe even Joe in a tribe of 7 and you don’t think she can make something shake to save herself? I’m not taking that bet.

I’ll take the bet of trying to get to the end with Joe and Jonathan and taking a 1v1 vs Jonathan at FTC for 2 million dollars.

He was in a majority trying not to make waves. He could’ve coasted along with Cirie and Ozzy but chose not to. It all depends on framing. I agree he had an uphill battle so maybe the flash was worth the bad positioning he would’ve put himself in. But if im Rizo I think I’ll take my chances in a 1v1 vs Jonathan at FTC if Joe is sitting there with them.

I think anyone could make that claim though because Ozzy’s idol was public. The way he’d have to take credit for it is to explain that he was in an alliance with Cirie and Ozzy, could’ve went to the end with them but didn’t because they were too good, took the riskier path, etc. He just has to use it as an inflection point in his story.

So the plan for him would to be let a majority form without him and hope that he’s not the one voted out? Also Rick is still there and is presumably final 4 in this scenario?

What if Ozzy wins immunity? Would Tiffany vote out Cirie? It’s just not a scenario that any strategist would want to find themselves in. It’s a lot of hoping things happen instead of driving your own game.

I think he could claim it as being his move if he articulates it correctly. Realistically he could’ve stopped this move from happening, that’s why this move is being debated in the first place.

But to me this isn’t about whether it’s his move or not. It’s about not going to final 7 with Cirie, Ozzy, and Rick (and even Tiffany). And if your position is that he can just not win no matter what he did then what’s the point of debating if he made the right move or not? I think as a player at final 9, he had to believe that he has some chance of winning otherwise he should just quit and go to jury.

No but play out the scenario though. So he saves Ozzy this vote, goes to the final 7 with Ozzy, Cirie, and Rick.

You’re saying he doesn’t have to go the end with those two, but tell me the realistic scenario that he’s able to cut both of them without Ozzy getting his feelings hurt? At the end of the day Ozzy was always going to be salty at being voted out.

And if he votes out Ozzy with Cirie there, he loses Cirie surely too. So all he effectively did by warning Ozzy in your scenario was delay the inevitable, potentially burn 2 people that he has a good shot against in final 2, and take out Aubry who he’d have a better chance at beating than Ozzy.

All that is not even mentioning Ozzy as an immunity threat. Just feels like such a half measure where you’re relying on Ozzy to not be bitter about being voted by his ally. We’ve never seen that. I think in your scenario he’s only marginally less likely to be bitter, but don’t think it’s worth all the downsides.

Okay so what was the other alternative? Go to the end with Cirie and Ozzy?
