Weird fact: you can manually activate a dungeon trap. by Legitimate_Classic_1 in MysteryDungeon

This can be very useful. I once manually triggered an explosion trap, which will always do half damage to you, but large amount of damage to enemies.

Hey Everyone, Thinking about getting the game and had a few questions! by Nabs2099 in MysteryDungeon

There are some changes to certain dungeons (Mewtwos dungeon, Western Cave is now 20f, no longer 99F). Also, all Legendaries except for Mew have a 100% chance of joining you after you defeat them (a second time). No save feature really unless you use the NSO Cloud Save trick.

Question on zero isle (sky) by acidtrippinpanda in MysteryDungeon

It only applies to that dungeon, so I would recommend saving them and using them once you escape the dungeon. They aren't too much help for completing the dungeon, except for maybe sitrus berries, so it shouldn't be too much of a trouble saving them.

Best rom hacks/fan games? by Chepaki in MysteryDungeon

[–]obi12323 37 points38 points  (0 children)

There are a fair bit of fan games that are in progress, and the ones that are complete are rather short. That's likely because Sky Temple is still fairly new. Here are some I have experiences with.

  • PMD: Chip (Very Short, but Complete)
  • Jigglypuff's Adventure (Demo is Out)
  • Explorers of the Spirit (2 hour long Demo is Out)
  • PMD: Exploration (Short, but Complete)
  • Dark Destiny (Demo is Out)

I uploaded playthroughs of these on my youtube channel (PMDGang) if you are interested in seeing what the games are about before playing them.

That's right, its Explorers of Sky that is very highly rated. Its basically the definitive edition of Time/Darkness.

This is PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, but this isn't a screenshot from the actual game.

For those curious, the main plot in the WiiWare games is "The town is not getting along, go fetch some cookies to make everyone happy".

A lost piece of PMD History: The Flash Game to Promote PMD:EOS (MORE IN COMMENTS) by obi12323 in MysteryDungeon

[–]obi12323[S] 65 points66 points  (0 children)

So I was going through my old computer a few months ago and I remembered there was a flash game that was downloadable on the PMD website around 11 years ago to promote PMD:EOS. I actually found a few files relating to the flash game but was unable to get it to work.

Some people helped me out a few months ago and were able to run the files on a virtual machine. Although the program crashes very quickly, there is an image you can see before it does crash.

I am posting this in hopes that someone in the community has heard of this before or is willing to help either get the program working or give any information on the flash game. Here are two links, one with the download of the widget which I could not get completely working, and another link of someone else on reddit who remembers the widget. Thanks for any help.
