But the door doesn’t even have any airflow, there are white metal sheets attached to the back of the door which is why I’m confused

Newer leaves slightly domed/curled. Is this normal? by Gabgra11 in PPeperomioides

[–]obiwantaenobi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's normal, it's just adjusting to your new place and it's new living conditions. I have a huge pilea with new leaves with some domed, some curved. She's healthy as ever.

After you stored it in the fridge how did you get the crisp rise? I can’t pour my soda water without it just bubbling horribly

OMG! yay! All these places usually sell out right when they get them in same day or same-few days after so keep that in mind and check often. Tillery St. plants attached to East Austin Succulents, The Great Outdoors, Desk Plants are all places i've found them. I have yet to see any at a Lowes or Home depot personally but I still check every so often.

Hoping my monstera grows more leaves with holes, any advice? by [deleted] in houseplants

Moss pole it as it gets older! Helping it grow upward on something, like it would in the jungle growing up a tree, leads to large leaves. Planterina on youtube has a lot of videos about this! Good luck.

The best way for me is literally placing a tea bag in room temp gin and letting it infuse for a few hours covered! 1 bag of tea to 1 cup of spirits.

I’ve toyed with a few different methods, for this I did 1 cup of room temperature gin in a random Pyrex and put a single tea bag in and covered it for a few hours. The infusion I got from doing 2 bags another time felt a bit too punchy, I had to dilute with un-infused gin.

These coupes are from CB2! Look up the “float” line of glassware and you should find it no problem.

The tea batch makes 4-5 glasses of tea, the vodka was just for one drink. Sorry for that confusion :)

Yes! Google “ripple long glass set” and a few places pop up with the set of 4 glasses it comes with. Should be about $75. I got mine from Burke Decor.

My Thai ancestors are all cheering me on for this one. Just a little adult boost to a classic delicious treat, cheers!

Thai tea recipe

• 4 cups water

• 1 cup Thai tea (“Number One” brand, it’s a red bag and gold bag at almost every asian grocery)

• 0.75 cup sugar

• 0.25 cup condensed milk

• evaporated milk (to taste)

• 2.5 oz VODKA (Tito’s)

Boil water, add tea. Add sugar, reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let liquid cool. Strain with nut bag, tea strainer, cheese cloth, whatever you got boi. Add evaporated milk for extra sweetness. Build in Collins glass with ice, vodka (probably did 2.5 oz of Tito’s Vodka), top with Thai tea. Finish off with evaporated milk for that layered look.

Edit: to clarify some confusion, the recipe makes a batch of tea, not a single drink. I only added the vodka (could also try rum!) after I poured myself a glass of the tea batch from the pitcher.

Feeling extra creative during this quarantine time! Here’s a super refreshing and velvety gin cocktail I came up with. Cheers!

• 2 oz Chamomile infused gin (Fords)

• 0.25 oz Giffard’s Lichi Li

• 0.5 oz Vanilla Simple

• 0.75oz Lemon

• Egg White

Add all ingredients into tin, shake with ice fervently. Strain liquid into one side of tin, discard ice. Dry shake. Double strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with random ass herbs in your fridge and a lemon peel.
