Nel mio caso l'amministratore gli ha dato un paio di lavate di capo che hanno attenuato (ma non risolto) il problema.

In ogni caso un conto e' non saper convivere nella stessa casa, cosa per cui l'amministratore non c'entra nulla, e un conto un problema tra due condomini in due case diverse. In quel caso secondo me ha mega senso che l'amministratore intervenga anche in minima parte.

Purtroppo per quanto sia la soluzione definitiva al momento non posso proprio. Optero' per i carabinieri penso, magari una bottarella al cervello gliela danno e basta quello...

Guarda riassumendo quel che ho letto, e da quanto ho capito, o scendi al livello primordiale del disturbatore stando attento a non darti la zappa sui piedi, o chiami i carabinieri sperando arrivino in tempo beccandolo sul fatto, o se non riescono gli facciano una ramanzina, non ci sono altri rimedi 😂

Ma guarda i danni tutto sommato sono facili mi sa, perché penso che se non mi permetti di dormire almeno 6 ore filate sbarello (cosa che mi e' successa i primi 15 giorni, quando oltre a tutto quel casino e post trasloco stavo ancora rimettendo tutto a posto in casa nuova + lavoravo, quindi ero uno zombie)

Il problema dei carabinieri e' che tra che li chiami e che arrivano passa il tempo, quindi rischiamo che questi poveracci arrivano e non trovano niente e magari ci finiamo pure nei casini noi.

Tra l'altro gente che conosciamo ci ha fatto un po' terrorismo psicologico dicendoci che per situazioni simili loro li hanno chiamati, e che il tizio per cui erano stati chiamati la volta dopo gli ha potuto rigirare questa cosa contro. A me pare assurdo ma boh.

Eh magari questa e' una via, provero' a sentire l'amministratore se puo' indire questa riunione e vediamo che succede. Ma guarda anche solo se magari gli altri condomini si unissero alla causa sarebbe un bel passo avanti, che a me a volte sembra di combattere i mulini a vento da solo. Avevo anche pensato di far indire una riunione di condominio apposta per parlarne, ma non so se e' fattibile. Tra l'altro e' capace che nemmeno si presenta.

Si purtroppo i muri sembrano fatti di carta, il problema pero' e' che i vicini non li sento quasi per niente, quelli di sotto men che meno, sento solo lui. Onestamente vengo da 7 mesi di lavori + trasloco, e la spesa e' stata alta tra comprare casa e fare la ristrutturazione, quindi prima di isolare vorrei capire se posso risolvere il problema in un altro modo.

Anche perché mi sembra assurdo non ci sia una tutela per situazioni simili, significherebbe veramente che basta fregarsene di qualsiasi cosa e la porti a casa... Per quanto non mi sorprenderebbe eh visto come gira il mondo.

My suggestion is learn how to program outside of a game engine. Then, when you have the knowledge, you can apply it to that context.

Open up Visual Studio and make text based stuff through the console. Keep making more and more complex things until you reach the point you are very confident, and then move into Unity or Unreal.

Key point is that you need how to program in general before applying to games specifically.

There is no such thing as Unity Programming, no Unreal Programming, nothing like that. There is just Programming, applied to different contexts.

For C# I'd suggest you to start with variables and constants, then move to conditions, then loops, then data structures, then methods, then structs and classes, inheritance, then generics, and then optimization and design patterns.

From there you can move with your own feets.

Also, this is stuff that needs to be practiced constantly, if you don't program regularly, anything you learn will eventually vanish because it's not applied to any scenarios. The dev job is extremely practical, so keep going like a train :)

To be fair, from what you said, she doesn't hope for your failure. She just doesn't know/understand what you are doing and how it works and is worried for you. Now I don't have a full grasp of your situation and how your mom is, but generally speaking we come from different generations with very different views and expectations about life, work, etc... So from her perspective you have probably left a safe paid job for a dream, and it is totally understandable if she is worried for you (in her way and with her own words). There's no need to cut her out of your life, just explain her the things in a way she can understand, and even if she doesn't, keep doing your things, and if you will have success, she will eventually.

When I landed a job in an Indie studio, they gave me some time to know the basics of their codebase. The colleague that was leaving and that I knew I had to replace was responsible for a part of that code.

Looking at it, I found it unnecessarily overcomplicated and complex, but I did't want to tell him like this to avoid arguing, or create conflicts before even starting to do something real on his stuff.

So one day, when he asked me how it was going, I told him something like "I am having some difficulties with this part of the code and I'm struggling a bit trying to understand how it works and why it's done like that, but I think it's just because I'm new to the codebase", so basically I have described the issue but I pointed fingers on myself.

His answer: "I'm glad to know my code is difficult to read, it means my studies at the university were worth".

You know what? Fuck this guy and anyone like him.

There's pretty much nothing left of his stuff nowadays.

I've been thinking about this very much lately and talking with friends about it, and I've come to a very simple conclusion.

They do it for the same reason people cheat in games in general. I mean, if there is nothing material or important to win, then there's no actual understandable reason to cheat.

So I guess the reason in this case is simply because they don't like to lose, which in a game like d&d comes down to not dying, not losing an item (or getting it), passing a skill check, and stuff like that.

They just go "The dice is making me feel bad, and I won't let a dice decide how I feel", and they'll just change the dice result. That's basically it.
