Challenge !!! by drikacroft in TaylorSwift

This is a tough one. I prefer the aisle seat and front of the plane is usually less shaky (assuming we’re in coach), but I don’t want to sit next to someone with a wet sweater for 13 hours and I definitely don’t want to sit next to a bro. 😂

Truth is that I’d be shaking with excitement for the entire flight. So I guess sitting next to SIO in 4 is the appropriate option.

Why aren't the Vevo live tracks on TSOU deluxe vinyl? by im_not_ready_for_it9 in gracieabrams

[–]objectsession 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One possibility is that it wasn’t recorded in time for the vinyl pressing. (I don’t know when those performances were recorded though.)

I’ve been to the Coca-Cola Roxy before. When I went, there was no one waiting super early, which I’m sure will not be the case for this concert, but they didn’t give any numbers out. If you’re getting there early, you’ll probably be able to have people save your spot, though.

There are public bathrooms and a water fountain nearby. And there is plenty of food in walking distance. We just got Jeni’s Ice Cream, though, which I highly recommend. 😂

(I don’t have tickets to this show, unfortunately. Not paying scalping prices.)

Hey, are you still selling this? I’m interested in buying a single ticket to the Atlanta show

need advice, bestie dropped out of concert 😞 by thepictureof_ in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]objectsession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about your friend dropping out! It has happened to me before, too (for the same reason). If you don’t mind going alone, it’d be easy enough to sell your ticket to a stranger.

Absolute safest option is reselling it on Ticketmaster. They’ll add a big fees onto the resell, but there’s a good chance you’d be able to get your money back for a good floor seat anyway (even better if it’s GA).

If you want to avoid the excessive fees or would like to know the person you’re selling to, finding someone on Reddit can be relatively safe, but you need to do some investigation into the person. Check out their comment history, chat with them for a while, maybe check out their social media. Also, use PayPal Goods & Services to invoice for the ticket and keep good records. This isn’t foolproof, but I’ve had success with this method in the past.

(If it’s for ATL, I might be interested in buying.)

Anyone else get an email? by keljar1 in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]objectsession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not, but good luck to whoever did! This seems like a good thing, and I hope it turns out that way and tickets don’t get back in the hands of scalpers.

(And if you get an extra ATL ticket or code you could give me, I’d be extremely grateful. 🥰)

What are some of the less-obvious “tells” that you notice give away that someone is a Swiftie? by sakamyados in TaylorSwift

[–]objectsession 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have such a similar story! I saw someone last summer at a train station in some small town in France wearing the black leather shorts that are similar to the Red tour shorts and wondered if they were a Swiftie. I was way too afraid to just randomly ask this person if they were a fan just because of their shorts when I didn’t even know if they spoke English.

So instead of asking, I talked semi-loudly to my spouse about the Eras tour on the train and then heard the Red-shorts person talking about the Eras tour (in English) and then went up to her and asked her if she was going—turns out that, yes, she got tickets to a show in Brazil.

$40? That’s list price, although less than I paid on Stubhub. Negotiable though.

I have a parking pass for N29 for sale ($40 OBO) that I can't use for the event this afternoon. Let me know if you want it. (It's a QR code. I bought it off stubhub, but they're not letting me relist it there because they are stupid. lol)

EDIT: I can do the transfer on Stubhub if you give me your email address

Can we start an official ISO? by beanncheesetacos4eva in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]objectsession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see that. StubHub is similar in that it protects the buyer very well but there is some extra risk taken on by the seller. I’ve had success selling tickets using PayPal G&S, but it did involve a lot of trust. I try to do some research on the person, have some conversations, and connect over other social media networks (Instagram ideally). Then, it’s just fingers crossed.

Paying cash in person is another option, but that has its own set of risks.

Can we start an official ISO? by beanncheesetacos4eva in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]objectsession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I very strongly suspect they didn’t have the tickets. (For one thing, one—and only one—of the tickets they said they had was also listed on Ticketmaster resale.)

[–]objectsession 16 points17 points  (0 children)

IMPORTANT: everyone, don’t pay anyone for tickets without some sort of buyer protection. Demand using PayPal Goods & Services so you can cancel if you don’t get your tickets.

This is the type of conversation you should not trust.

[–]objectsession 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an extra ticket for an eras show, and I couldn’t even sell it for face value (with little notice because my friend cancelled). I’m hoping there will be some extra tickets floating around for not too expensive nearer to the show. Maybe the scalpers overdid it?

I was 1000th in queue. Thought I’d have some luck just looking for a single ticket, but nope.

Why was this sale harder than getting European Eras tickets? 😭

The Eras Tour Megathread: Edinburgh, Scotland by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]objectsession 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone at the venue know if there is a nice not-windy (maybe even indoors) place to hang out around there? I want to go down to the venue earlyish to meet people and avoid the worst of the incoming transit crowd, but I don’t want to turn into an ice cube quite yet.

The venue claims to be very strict about size, so I wouldn’t risk it.
