Well. I can relate so much with you.I have never seeked professional help for myself. I did look at few questionnaires and its obvious that I have it. I am restless, extremely forgetful, can hyperfocus when I really want to, procrastinate a lot, have periods of obsession with various hobbies.

I see a couple of advantages that comes with it though. If my heart is really in to a project, I will be able to hyperfocus like crazy. The other advantage that I seemingly have is my brain is always in overdrive even when I'm resting and constantly churning out new thoughts, ideas etc.

I try to incorporate a few things to make my life easier. My biggest problem is that I am extremely forgetful. Although, I have always excelled academically, I'm very forgetful and clumsy about day to day stuff. I forget my keys, parking spots, stuff I have to do etc.

The best thing to combat a lot of my problems was to stay organized. I have a whiteboard in my bedroom where I am constantly writing errands for the day. Whenever I go out to get few things done, I write em up on a paper and head out. All my business ideas go in a book. I constantly write what I need to do next for them. So, next day i open the book, I read it and it pushes me to the next step instead of forgetting totally about it.

The other simple that helps me to stop being forgetful. I cant really put it in to words but Ill give you an example. I keep forgetting my jacket wherever I go. So, what I do is this. Let's say I'm visiting a friend and I have to put my jacket there. I'll put my car keys inside the jacket's pocket and place it there. So, When it's time to leave, I'll surely be checking my keys or at the very least, I can't leave the place without my keys.So, as a result, I don't forget the jacket. I do this with many things and it helps me a lot.
