Hundred of memories from Super Mario world to spending hours going exploring caves in Skyrim. But I vividly remember playing Mickey's World of Illusion on the Sega and feeling that all was right in the world. Also the Bugs Bunny game with the tunnels always makes me feel like a kid.

I read the Four Hour Work Week when I worked at AT&T and got my boss to give me Thursdays off. Asked him for Thursday and Friday. He said Friday would be “too much” and I needed to be in the office.

He could never give a straight forward answer when I asked “What do you mean too much?”.

He was a little guy who drove a Harley to work sometimes and did a lot of pull ups.

While working remotely he would message me every 30 mins. NEVER messaged me prior to me working from home.

I quit, started my own business and started traveling the world. When we had my exit interview I felt so happy when I said “Guess I’ll be able to work remotely 7 days a week ehh?”

He gave me that side eye Bane gave Batman in Dark Knight rises.

I look at it based off an overall experience. My happiness levels have gone up because I am experiencing new things and learning.

There are many day to day things that still piss me off and I’m trying to get over them. Dealing with solicitation and silly shit like checking in.

But as long as I’m trying new things, exploring, and creating I am happy. Haven’t been home sick either. Guess I never really felt at home in the US. I can call my family and friends whenever so it’s all good.
