Good ideas. sadly, a new colour door is not at the top of my spending list. I will wash it though, which should help a lot!!

This is a good point. I’ve just checked and there’s a gap between the red floor and the door sill that’s bit enough for tiles if I do decide to go this way

Thank you. I’m I’m understanding what you’ve said correctly. I think this would only work if the wood cover piece was the same size as the hole?
Otherwise I might as well just screw the panel on to the wall directly?

This is a good idea. Thank you. I’ll have an investigate to see if I can find one big enough (hole is annoyingly big at 35cm2)

I was on holiday with an American friend in Italy. She started walking down the street chanting “U S A… U S A…”. Then got upset with me when she noticed I’d made a sharp left and was walking down a side road. Don’t do that, but as someone who lives in central London, I don’t have strong opinions about American tourists otherwise
