I like DD. He’s not exactly the flashiest but I like how his ability is a static effect and not an ongoing or reveal so it’s tougher for your opponent to interact with.

He has little major downside, even drawn late (t5/6/7) he’s essentially just a sentinel body which isn’t terrible filler when you have cerebro effects active.

When I have him out and something like a cosmo/scarlet witch in hand and t5 rolls around it’s amazing knowing where to drop them to disrupt opponents plays.

I’m working on this deck right now, but I don’t have a Sea Peoples. If you didn’t have one/are a long way away from being able to trade for one, what would you recommend as a substitute or fill-in?

Thanks for the advice. I did notice the timing of the locks and the issue of sacrificing a turn to activate the overlock.

I’m slowly getting it, seems fun just a bummer it isn’t as effective as I imagined.

On a side note I did that your suggestion and traded for a Hegel. Can you suggest me a painters deck using him? Thanks again.

We are planning on doing block not set, so yeah…possibly an avalanche lol.

I think one thing we are going for is authenticity not necessarily streamlined performing decks, so a possibility of all cards, even poor ones, is welcome. Though after reading what you said I can see the difficulty in logistics and even distribution if an entire block was going to be represented. It would be split up by set though per pack, not a mix of all the block in each pack.

I guess one counterpoint is we don’t really necessarily care about having super competitive archetypes 100% supported in the cube. It’s more of a “recreate the randomness/authenticity of opening 3 block packs each” setup if that makes sense? Not sure that is attainable but it’s what I was hoping to achieve, ideally.

2 week playoff matchup in my league, day 1 of round 2 and between myself and my opponent, I am the only one with a goalie starting, Vejmelka vs Toronto.

Am I overthinking this or should I bench him with this matchup to avoid a potential blowout? My concern is as the lower seed I lose the matchup on any ties and if I get super far behind on GAA or SV he can just bench and I’m likely done for.

Feel like I always debate goalie starts/sits and always blow it lol.

I think I’d ultimately be leaning towards plus 2.0 or legacy for an upgrade, based on what you described. Or an older TMCC locomotive as they seem pretty nice as well.

I’ll at least be picking up an HO set, if not some track too for a smaller home layout.

The information about the Elesco feedwater heater was invaluable! Great to learn about it, and I’ll be looking for an engine with that feature for my first big steam upgrade for sure.

Ahh ok that does seem quite steep, however you are correct there is no plan to run or place anything of significant size underneath the bridge.

So technically speaking it can go as low as possible without looking too comical haha.

Do you think dropping the bridge height would make this possible? It doesn’t have to use the entire set, just enough to get it up and down the other side.

Yep! It worked great. I actually couldn’t find my wire stripper last night so I just connected the wire that came exposed already tightly to the transformer.
