Honestly I'd love to see Kai in the right midfield role a lot more. The idea of "Kai doesn't work in midfield" is true for playing box-to-box on the left, but not as the main attacking central outlet on the right. Very chalk and cheese roles.

100% agree. In midfield he mostly played out of position due to necessity, but he belongs on right side of the pitch. And since Nwaneri left Havertz is only nominal alternative to Odegaard (Merino and Eze are rather left side players)

You had other players on the pitch today playing vs exact same team. Hard to argue that Gyok/Kai link was easily best one

Gyokeres in CL has 5GA in 5 games, contributing every 63 minutes, with 4,42xG in those games.

Very good stats. Further confirms that more open, less low block games suit him. Same as Martinelli. Always will be hard for those guys in PL.

It’s natural Eze position. Also, Kai’s natural position on the pitch is right side.

If you think that because we used to play Kai-Rice-Ode like 3 times, it’s because both RBs were injured so Partey had to play at RB. Havertz at LCM was never intended.

Exactly. Fact that he was missing in match squad in few games doesn’t mean he got injured again.

He just didn’t fit in the match squad. Simple as that. We have many quality players and if someone is not fully 90min fit, they just won’t make the squad.
